Pelikaani_VR Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Your gauges are grreat! Works fine in ipad via duet display. However, atm/ATA gauge in german planes (stuka, messerschmitt) does not have any readings and in spitfire it works erratic. Have I done something wrong? Haven't tested other planes. 1
Blorg Posted November 26, 2022 Author Posted November 26, 2022 (edited) No, you've not done anything wrong, the last game update broke some things, I am working on it as we speak! Also, good job getting it working on iPad Edited November 26, 2022 by Blorg 1 1

If you are flying a supported plane, it locks it down and you can't change other plane layouts. It is kind of good in a way that at least we can see the c47 kind of works by using another plane's layout. Anyhoo, I have some time today to work on this, fingers crossed! No worries. Still works normally with the PE2 which is my main career. Im trying not to jump ahead and follow the timeline but it was hardnwith the c47 release.
Blorg Posted November 27, 2022 Author Posted November 27, 2022 Release! Version 0.61 C-47A and fix the whole app after major update! Hopefully I fixed everything but there was a lot broken so do let me know what I missed, together we are stronger! Both client and server need updatedhttps://dellywelly.itch.io/il-2-dials-client-windowshttps://dellywelly.itch.io/il-2-dials-server Android version on Beta branch, make sure to join! - notes for people with older versions of android, I'm still working on it. At the moment I can't export for anything below 5.1.1 Happy Flying! 5 1
Blorg Posted November 27, 2022 Author Posted November 27, 2022 And for those with older android devices, you can give this apk a try. https://dellywelly.itch.io/il-2-dials-client-android 1
CosmiC10R Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 All seems to be working @Blorg. Thanks again for the quick fix! love the dual needles in the c47 for the rpm and manifold 1
VBF-12_Stele Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I can't believe I've been living under a rock this long and never noticed this app. I'm definitely going to add this to my cockpit setup. 1 2

Blorg Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 Excellent, thanks for the report. @VBF-12_Stelewelcome to the party, spread the word! 1
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Quick question. I read all the pages and didn't see this addressed. If it has been my apologies. If a dial is shot out in game, does your app reflect that the dial is no longer usable? I understand the app draws directly from the game, but if a dial is shot out, is that simply a graphic blocking your ability to read it and the game is still outputting data for that dial?
Blorg Posted December 8, 2022 Author Posted December 8, 2022 Hey, the app will still show the dial. I've not really looked for a way to find the damage yet, I assume it will be difficult, so I suppose this is an advantage of using the app (one I'm not in support of!) I'm not sure I'll ever implement this feature, the more complex my app is gets, the more it breaks whenever there is an update. I'm struggling to keep adding features whilst fixing bugs after updates. They need to stop adding content so I can catch up! 2

The game will still calculate the values for broken dials, just not send them to the cockpit. I go in and grab the data before it gets to the cockpit, I just can't figure out the function that applies the data to the cockpit instruments, it's absolutely massive XD 2
Lomaster Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 I just gave android version a try flying I-16. Works great! But... 1) Only 5 instruments for I-16? Really need that oil temp and engine head temperature gauges. 2) Turn and bank indicator needle is fixed at the middle and won`t move at all. It moves in game. The bead moves just fine, but the needle is just stuck. 1
Blorg Posted December 14, 2022 Author Posted December 14, 2022 Hey @Lomaster, thanks for the update The last game update broke a few things, I hope to have these fixed soon. And yes, temperatures are being worked on too! Oil temps are first and then I'll move on to cylinder head and carb mix temps for some of the US planes. The oil temperatures have been pretty tricky to find! I'll get it fixed, don't you worry ? 6
cormac Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Hello, @Blorg. Thank you for making this app. It works great and I appreciate it very much. I'm using it on my Lenovo Yoga tablet which has a built-in kickstand so it's just like a real instrument panel! I'm also having the ATA/manifold pressure not being read (just FYI) but I'm ok with it, I'm reading the RPMs and get by. Keep up the good work. 1
Blorg Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 (edited) Thanks @cormac, good to hear you're enjoying the app I'm working on the manifold pressures not working right now. I have fixed the a20 and I'm trying to replicate a report that the p38 isn't working (it is working for me), so if you have any scenarios that I can replicate where manifold isn't reading, please let me know! Also, make sure you join the beta branch on Play Store Edited December 19, 2022 by Blorg

Lomaster Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Apparently Android version can only be used if it is the same version as the server. 1
Blorg Posted December 20, 2022 Author Posted December 20, 2022 Aha yes! I did not update Android yet. I have received a report that the spitfire boost is just spinning, so I'll fix that and update the Android version, thanks for reminding me!
Blorg Posted December 20, 2022 Author Posted December 20, 2022 Actually, I just realised, the up to date client is the beta branch on Play Store. I have promoted this to the main branch so check for updates in the next few hours. You could also join the beta branch and have access to new builds. I usually run the beta branch for a week or so after an update and then push to the main production branch. 2
Blorg Posted December 22, 2022 Author Posted December 22, 2022 (edited) Another fix update!! Server Only version 0.61b Fixes manifold and water temps not working, sorry! https://dellywelly.itch.io/il-2-dials-server Also, if you notice any cpu slowdowns, especially after flying for an hour or so, could you try and get me a screenshot of your task manager? Lovely, Thanks! Edit:SCG_Limbo(hero) has found the cause for the high cpu usage. The issues occurs if you keep the server app running and restart il2. For the mean time, please close the server when you close IL-2, I will fix this in the near future Edited December 22, 2022 by Blorg 1 2

Cheers
Blorg Posted December 23, 2022 Author Posted December 23, 2022 (edited) Edited: The new server updates all work with the same client version 0.61. I only needed to change server elements. My general scheme is match the numbers on the versions, the letters don't matter. So server version 0.61b with work with client version 0.61. The standalone apk is the same version as the Play Store. As ever any problems, let me know and I'll build whatever we need. There's been a lot going on, I need a project manager! Edited December 23, 2022 by Blorg 2
Rafcio Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Many thanks Blorg for oil temperature idicator. Works well. 1
Blorg Posted January 13, 2023 Author Posted January 13, 2023 Yes, oil temperature update is out, get it while it's hot! 1
Lomaster Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Hm. The Android version won`t connect anymore. I can`t remember what version i used in December, when it worked like a charm.
Blorg Posted January 17, 2023 Author Posted January 17, 2023 (edited) I have pushed the beta branch on to the main production branch for Android. So if you weren't signed up to the beta branch, look for an update. I haven't had any major bug reports so I think we're good to go forward from here. If you're still having problems, let me know and I'll look in to it 9 hours ago, Lomaster said: Android no connecty Edited January 17, 2023 by Blorg Typoz
Lomaster Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 May it have something to do with IPv6? I believe i used a IPv4 internet connection back in December. Now desktop clients connect to the server instantly, but Android device won`t find the server no matter if i connect it to the same Wi-Fi network or through mobile data.
HotPursuit Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Hi Blorg Thanks for improving your app. I'm now using server v 0.62 and windows client v 0.62 and find the oil gauge in some planes are upside down eg. Tempest, Yak 1b s27, Me 110's. Other planes it shows correctly. Not sure what's going on here?
Lomaster Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Problem solved by pausing my firewall. Somehow it was preventing the client rom connecting. Had no problems with previous version, but then again, my AV software gets updated too i guess. 1

I think it happened because there were some hidden oil dials in the last update. After you reset the layout, it should be fine from there. I see it when developing sometimes after I rollback/forward. Let me know if it is still broken after a reset, sorry! 10 hours ago, Lomaster said: Problem solved by pausing my firewall. Somehow it was preventing the client rom connecting. HotPursuit Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Thanks Blorg, I fixed the issue by deleting the affected dials and dragging them back again. ? 1

Move dials around until happy! If you do this before you enter a flight you can edit planes individually, if you are in flight, the layout panel automatically goes to the plane you are in for quick edits Thank you for the kind words Edited January 21, 2023 by Blorg 1
ross607 Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Hey Blorg, Sorry if this has already been asked, am I right in thinking not all the planes have oil temp working yet? Just had a flight in the Mig-3 and the oil temp dial is there but the needle stays dead the whole flight - all other dials working fine. Not had chance to try anything else yet as I've been away from the game for a few months - was wondering if this is a problem at my end or if you haven't had time to implement for all aircraft yet? Thanks as always for this great app 1
Blorg Posted January 28, 2023 Author Posted January 28, 2023 Hi Ross, There was a bug with the mig 3 that I (hopefully!) fuxed in version 0.62 https://dellywelly.itch.io/il-2-dials-server Both Client and Server should be on 0.62. You can check server version by clicking the little gear on the app. You can check the client version by clicking the menu button, it shows on the bottom right of the menu panel. It is of course possible that I didn't fix it or a game update broke it, and thanks to you as always for getting involved and helping to improve the app! 1

LoupVert Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 (edited) Awesome tool, thanks a lot for developing it, Blorg. I run it happily on my smartphone. Now I'd like to run it on my tablet, which is operating a 32 bits OS. Would there be any way to run the client in 32 bits ? Cheers Edited January 29, 2023 by LoupVert

Hi again Blorg, Ok, I've done some further testing this afternoon as I was using version 0.62 both server and client on Friday when I had the issue, but after testing today from a runway start oil temp is working fine, I downloaded both android and windows client to check and both are working - I tried from a cold start on the ramp in quick mission and again, both clients show working oil temp for the Mig-3... very weird! I think I was using the Mig in Syn's EMG from a cold start where the gauge didn't work for me before, don't know if that created some weird one off thing but I have not been able to break the gauge today ? If I can recreate the bug again I'll let you know but right now it looks like you got the Mig working great. Awesome work! thanks again for all you do. Cheers! 1
Mad_Mikhael Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Is it possible to make a bomb selector panel? I like to fly without technochat and it is possible to do with every aircraft except Ju88 C-6 ? Bomb panel in C-6 is placed in such a place it's impossible to check it.
