hughlb Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 (edited) These data sheets are an attempt to collate existing critical aircraft operational information, into an easy-to-read single-sheet format, which you can view at a glance. On each sheet you will find information divided into three regions: The upper left region introduces critical engine, temperature, and speed data that can be identified quickly whilst in combat or in the circuit. Information is sourced from the aircraft flight and technical specifications and operational details included in-game and on this forum by 1CGS. The lower left region comprises start-up, take-off, and landing checklists. Information is sourced from Requiem’s fantastic Learn to fly series on The Air Combat Tutorial Library YouTube channel. You can consider these guides a companion to Requiem’s videos, if you are learning to fly the aircraft. The right region is the pilot notes - useful information that relates to the operation of the aircraft. Information is sourced from the aircraft flight and technical specifications and operational details included in-game and on this forum by 1CGS. There is layout continuity across each sheet, so you will know where to look for supercharger information, or glideslope speed etc. Colours are used hierarchically to highlight information that is more critical. This is all to keep your head up, rather than buried in a flight manual. In saying that though, these sheets are by no means comprehensive. The focus is squarely on critical aircraft operational information rather than weapons employment, and some information is sacrificed to maintain clarity and fit everything in. There is also the assumption that you are familiar with the cockpit layout of each aircraft. Just to ensure there is no confusion with colour information: White is standard, the least-critical information Yellow, orange, and red indicate increasingly critical information However in the pilot notes section, yellow and orange is used interchangeably to break up the colours and make important information easier to read. In this section, text of any colour is regarded as high value, with red again denoting the most critical information. This is a Bug Reporting Google Doc, as despite my best efforts, there may be missing or incorrect information. I will also log the version release of each guide in this document, so you can ensure that you have the most current version (although I wouldn’t expect frequent version changes). Note: You do not require a Google account to comment in this document. You can find it at the following location: At A Glance - IL-2 Great Battles Aircraft Timeline Thanks 1CGS for the sim, and happy flying everyone! Hugh28/4/21 - Added Spitfire XIV. Letka_13/Major* Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 Hi, Typhoon is missing there, is that the same like Tempest?
jokerBR Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Mosquito is missing too... and TA 152. Otherwise, for older planes, is a good resource. Thanks. 1
Burninator6502 Posted March 23 Posted March 23 (edited) These are wonderful, thanks! Can you tell me what GS (between CLM to 10k and LAND) stands for? It looks like pattern speed but I'm not sure. Edit: Figured it out - it's Glideslope Edited March 23 by Burninator6502
