Decreased performance in VR for the last month/since last patch

This could be something going on with my PC, but I have noticed that since roughly the time of the last patch, I am unable to maintain the FPS I used to with the same settings in VR. I used to get a pretty steady 90FPS, now with heavy clouds, I get drops into 70's and even 60's intermittently. Is this just me, or have others been noticing this as well?

@SCG_Wulfe, in the latest patch, there were no changes to the VR and graphics component of the game.

This happens often with updates. I have fixed it by reinstalling the game.

Just in case, how does one back up their key bindings, cockpit saved positions and such?
