AI Pilot disappears after being shot down in cockpit

Like title says, I shot down an enemy BF109 and it started falling towards the ground from 3000M+

Mid falling the pilot who was dead simply disappears...? Why?

 

Can you please fix this? Makes the engagement highly unrealistic.

Same thing in multiplayer,  it's about reducing resources usage by means that I don't understand at all. Immersion killer.

@Mainstay, this is one of the optimization elements in the game.

Why? Give us an option to at least make this optional. I really don’t get these development decisions.
