vincentmoy Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Thank you again for this fantastic software! I had 11.10 installed about a month ago and the airfields had no AAs. I know Pat had it fixed back in 11.10.1. I just installed 11.11.1 and started a new German battle of Moscow campaign and the airfield still had no AAs even I had it set to high in config. When I install 11.11.1 I just moved my User folder, delete everything, unzip 11.11.1 back at the root directory, moved back my User folder. Didn't change anything else. Am I missing something?
Chief_Mouser Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 No. We've had no enemy AAA at their airfields (in co-ops) for a long time now. I thought that Pat had fixed it but it's not working.
WheelwrightPL Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 If you want ground fire you need to play a standard Career mode (the one that comes with the game) with "Ground Density" set to "Medium" or higher. And this will result in ground fire from some, but not all airfields.

PatrickAWlson Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 (edited) Verify that Simple Config -> Structure Density is set to medium. Structure density determines which structures, airfields included, are added to the mission. Only airfields added to the mission get stuff Structure density of low only decorates airfields in the mission box Structure density of medium expands the box to include all of the player airfields (coop could have more than 1) Structure density of high puts stuff all over the map. Not recommended, but if you never want to see an empty space it's there. I made a mistake. I should have defaulted structure density to medium but it seems to be low (it was set to low on my setup as well). I should also always include the player's airfield even on structure density low. At any rate I recreated the problem with structure density low and verified that it works with structure density medium. Let me know how this solution works for you. Also remember that AA batteries spawn when an enemy is near. To verify the AA batteries are there you will have to either drag an enemy back to your field or open the mission in the ME. Hi Pat, I tried setting the structure density to high and tried both AA med & high setting to no avail. This mission has AA @ Med & Structure @ High. The 4 ground units in town are 2 MGs and I think 2 AAs. The markers at the airfield is the runway marker and the tower. Absolutely no AA around the airfield. PWCG no AA (Med).zip This mission I set both AA and Structure @ high. And the result is even worse. No ground units insight at all. PWCG no AA (high).zip Tried it on a newly created German campaign. AA @ high and Structure @ med. Again, no AA in sight PWCG no AA new German.zip The rest of my settings were unchanged between missions Air - Med Ground - Med CPU allowance - High Edited March 9, 2021 by vincentmoy

I created a new German campaign and generated a mission using 11.9.1 (mission on 1941-10-01) and there were a few AA I could see. I then copied the User folder to 11.11.1 and then generated a scramble mission using 11.11.1 (mission on 1941-10-03) and there were not a single ground unit at all in sight. There were at least a flight of Pe-2s and a flight of IL2s around the airfield I took off from. Hope it wasn't too redundant. Thank you again. PWCG 11.9.1.zip PWCG 11.11.1.zip
