The idea is: by pressing the acceleration pedal, you move forward. Pressing braking pedal you stop or move back. Control the speed by pressing.

Now, as I understand it, this functionality is not available. Use arrows or flight throttle...

By modifying input files I managed to configure my rudder to get what you describe. Unfortunately, the file is reset at each restart of the game, so I dropped the idea and it is commage because it would be more immersive with pedals.

Most wheel software has a setting to enable the use of a combined throttle/brake axis. So it then works just like the throttle on your HOTAS.

Does that mean that I already can use my pedals in game? I never tried to.

Edit;

Ok so I just tested this and it works. I assigned throttle and brake to use a combined axis in my Thrustmaster wheel software. After that I was able to drive the tank with my wheel and pedals. Releasing the throttle stops the tank. Pressing the brake makes it go backwards.

Will feel a bit akward with trucks though but I even didn't know you could drive these in game?

One good man at russian forum told me the same. It works in our game (tanks and i hope GAZ-MM too) !

Shame @Han don't know about this or didn't understand what i was asking him correctly.

Thanks for voting and posts everybody! :drinks:

Can you drive without combining two axis at one? Just set them in game controls as "forward" and "backward"? Don't use any software?

I don't think so. It has to be one axis. Just like the pitch control for your plane wich uses only one axis of your joystick.

But as far as I know any major brand wheel has this setting.

This is not good...

So @Han was right. In-game controlls need upgrade for using two different axis for driving (like any driving-simulation game) :joy:

Voting continues! :help:

What they really need to do for tanks is have a left and right tread move independently, like a real vehicle. Use two axis, one left, one right. You can either use your rudder pedal brake axis, or two different throttle quadrant levers.
