Are you saying that when you operate whatever key combination is assigned to Enables/disables flight recording under the Service category,  you don't see the movie camera symbol appear at the top right corner of the screen?

Brief description: Not able to record in-game video.
Detailed description, conditions:
I've been having some trouble for some time now recording in-game video. I've triple checked my key binds to make sure everything is correct. Current key bind is Left control + R to turn record on/off. I've tried this several times and the record icon does not appear. I've checked the video folder...no videos. Additionally, I checked my "current.actions" file to make sure that Left Control + R is there...it is. I've also tried adding the key bind directly to my Virpil CM2 throttle...no success.

From "current.actions" file:  record,     key_lcontrol+key_r,    0| // Enables/disables flight recording

Additional assets (videos, screenshots, logs): None;
Your PC config data (OS, drivers, specific software): See signature for PC config.

Any help is appreciated.

@JV44HeinzBar, in the game, only Ctrl+R tracks are recorded, the video is written by other programs.

S! Rapidus,

I apologize for using the term "video". I meant tracks. I can not get the track recording to work. The record icon does not appear when I apply lctrl+r. Another question: What folder are the tracks? I can zip my "current.actions" file for upload if that would help.

Thanks,

HB

Just checking back in to see if there is a fix for not having the record option? I've attached a pic of my "current.actions" file. I've tried removing my button assignment to my throttle, but this didn't work either. I'm thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling, but that would be a major PitA.

You do not need to completely reinstall the game, just delete all the files in the IL 2\data\input folder and restart the game client.

Thanks Rapidus. I'll try that next week and let you know how it turns out.

Hi Rapidus,

I looked into my IL2 directory/data. I did not have a Tracks folder. I created one and my problem is solved. I don't know why I didn't have a Tracks folder, perhaps it was the previous update, who knows? Anyhow, all is good for now.

Thanks,

HB

S!,

I have this exact problem. When I looked into my IL2 directory, I noticed that I don't have a "Tracks" folder. Is this due to the update?

Tracks is a subfolder of data.

What do you have assigned here:

Thanks for the replay. I don't know how it happened, but my Tracks folder was missing. I don't know if it was a bad install or what. I simply created a new folder, renamed it Tracks...voila! I can now record. Go figure.
