kraut1 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Hi all, Yesterday evening there was a win10 update. After Update in CLOD Blitz/Tobruk every 3seconds a short "stutter". Not very nice! Has anybody same issue? Best Regards
jollyjack Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Roll back the latest update, and install windows update switch? Tip?: These unwanted Microsuck updates made me change to Windows LTSC, on 2 computers now. And back to Windows 8.1 on my work laptop. Reason: Far less bloatware and these often NO GOOD 'updates'. You can often find licenses around $20 or less on ebay. Companies often sell old computers with onboard licenses which are sold separately. Pay by credit card, in case it's from an unreliable source. 1 1

I experience microstutters all 3 sec since last Win10 Update. I reinstalled the game, but with no success. 1

By the way: Great Battles seems to be not inflicted. i have updated the NVIDIA driver: without success.
9./JG52_J-HAT Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Try this: SAVE your .ini files as a backup (just copy the files elsewhere) that are located in 1C Softclub / Il-2 Cloffs of Dover folder, delete the complete folder and then start the game normally. After you’ve run the game and checked if the stutters are gone, put the .ini files back regardless if it worked or not. Otherwise you will lose all your custom configuration (game will be reset as new). 1
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted January 17, 2021 Team Fusion Posted January 17, 2021 We do not recommend rolling back the Windows install to an older one. If you are having issues with the current build, please first delete your cache file. "Documents/1C SoftClub/il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover/" Then see this thread:
kraut1 Posted January 17, 2021 Author Posted January 17, 2021 -of course I had already at first deleted the cache - no success -acc. suggestion by 9./JG52_J-HAT after backup I deleted the whole Softclub folder, started the game: no success. Because of that I restored the Softclub folder -Now one remark: I noticed the trouble when playing the quick mission Bombing Attack on Calais, I fly this mission since many years and there were never performance issues or stuttering. -Next test was to continue my TheOden Dynamic Mission Operation sun flower campaign: A fighter Bomber Mission with BF109-E7, no enemy fighter contact, only AA-fire: no problem with stuttering -Last Test: quick mission Bombing Attack on Calais with reduced number of planes: seems to be a bit better but still problems, this time more with fps. -I will continue my TheOden Dynamic Mission Operation sun flower campaign and will report the how it works

So, I did this as usual, but unfortunately without success. I also deleted the whole 1C Softclub / Il-2 Cloffs of Dover folder, with same result - still experiencing micro lags/microstutters.

Question: was there change of the Channel map in the last update? edited 19.Jan.: see: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/68849-stuttering-issue-after-win10-update-or-clod-update-2-test-missions/ Edited January 19, 2021 by kraut1 link to test missions added
