Oculus Rift S - Reset View not working

Hi, 

 

I am having some great success using Oculus Rift S VR with the game, but there is an annoying problem that I am hoping someone can help me with please.

 

Sometimes the game starts perfectly, I am sitting in the cockpit at the right height and facing forward, but sometimes the game starts and I am low down almost on the floor and unable to see over the side of the cockpit ! Now I have been using the Oculus for about a year now with plenty of other games, and I've developed games for it, so I know how to configure it and use the link menus. Normally I would hold the rift controller key down bring up the Oculus link menu in the game and "Reset View", this all comes up as expected, but resetting the view doesnt do anything in the game. I also can't windows out of the game (back on my normal 2d screen), and reset the view using my mouse on the Steam VR menus. 

 

So - is there any way to do this from a setting in the game ? ie adjust my head position using the in game menus ?

Hi,

I am using my Rift-S since last march very often for IL1946, IL1946 BAT and IL2 1946 DBW.

I am using it together with VorpX but because I have similar problems like you with the recentering I use additionally Opentrack for head tracking.

made a short test, it seems to work a bit with 1946, but it`s pure 2D, like a cinema mode. Tracking is not good in the basic setting. Centering of view not so good.  Joystick works. Maybe anyone who knows how it works can optimize it. I don`t have time for more testing. Best Regards
