Birdseed007 Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 OK I bought the Battle of Stalingrad on Steam last night, downloaded it and am trying to run it. From the main menu I chose quick battles and a mission from the map but when I try to choose an allies or axis plane I can see the list of planes and click on one but it still shows 'none' on the screen where you select 'fly'. No matter what I do I cannot select a plane!! Can someone help - this is driving me nuts! Also From readong the notes it seems I might need to enter my Steam key to activate the game via the IL2 website but Steam never told me the game key number even though I bought it and I can find no way to display the key!! I am a veteran simmer and used to play IL2's original boxed versions like Forgotten Battles. Was really looking forward to getting into this again but am just frustrated. Help!! Brg, Birdseed This the exact problem I am having - can anybody help?
Jason_Williams Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Birdseed, No you don't need to enter any keys. That has not been the case for years. Are you launching the game from Steam by hitting play or trying to launch it through the install folder .exe? If you bought from Steam you need to launch from Steam. What you are showing is very odd. Jason Did you try to link your IL-2 on Steam and your IL-2 User Account by chance? Jason
Birdseed007 Posted December 29, 2020 Author Posted December 29, 2020 Now solved by revalidating Steam install files. Thanks. Birdseed007

Drum Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 I have a request regarding the IL2 store, as silly as it might sound; Because I bought two items first from Steam, the store will only allow me to purchase them as gifts. Steam allowed me to repurchase all the items I first bought from the IL2 store allowing me to have a complete Steam version. It's how I want to support the game, as well as having two complete versions (Steam/Non-Steam) should that be beneficial in the future. Can this be fixed so I can complete my two collections? ?

Birdseed007 Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 Jason, can you just confirm that it should all work seamlessly if I now buy the Normandy pack from your webstore with my Steam copy of the Stalingrad battle? Brg, Jonathan
