By chance you didn't upgrade firmware on your stick?  It may not recognize the stick if the name of the device changed in the slightest.  Or if you somehow went default settings when you reinstalled the necksafer app, you might be a few devices too much and it needs to be manually reset to recognize all your devices.  Than you can re-peg the specific device button.

it is finicky... Did it to me a while back, then out of nowhere it saw the DX press and worked. Try "Deactivate XRNS OpenXR API Layer" (under OpenXR tab) , then shut down, restart, re-enable, try again.. total guess on my part as I jumped through 20 hoops and it just started working.. I'm sure you tried a KB key already (for both XRNS and Il-2) as a backup..

Hey, it worked! Thank you so much!

I am a longtime user of XRNS and VRNS. I have an issue with the keyboard/joystick mapping not working as I would expect. When I configure an XRNS function to single keypress (i.e. no modifier used), that function is still invoked when I do use a modifier. XRNS definitely recognizes the modifier keys, so I don't think that is the issue. I can configure XRNS functions to work with my modifier keys combinations.

I don't want to use a modifier to when I invoke some XRNS functions, but I do want to free these joystick buttons for other, less time-critical functions by using modifier keys. Unfortunately, I cannot, because my view is being altered by XRNS.

Thanks for this great piece of software and for any help you (or anyone here) can provide. (workarounds too!)

I wasn't sure if I should tag this onto the 29 pages in the Check Six thread or not, as I didn't want to be stepping on someone else's question. I've been using the XRnecksafer app, for a couple years now and could get along without it " 3 fused vertebrate the neck". The old version seemed to be easier to setup then the new version, all I want is to be able to look over my left or right shoulder with a few degrees' offset so I'm not staring right at the seat back. What I'm getting now is, looking over left shoulder is good, but when looking over right shoulder there is no offset at all so I'm just staring at the seat, not sure how to fix this? I use my hat switch to control views so it's a pretty simple setup I would think, I just can't seem to get both sides working the same.

Is there a neck safer option for steam?  I'm having problems with open composite and I'm trying going back to steam, but I miss my xrnecksafer tremendously.

VRNecksafer, does not have all of the XRNecksafer features but is what you need for OpenVR..
