db605Sct13 Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Ok this goofy crap happened to me in the past. Im flying along fat, dumb and happy.....and the views go topsy turvey.....I'm looking down as if I'm upside down looking at the left hand side of the cockpit downwards from the front....or at my left knee, if there was one.....Nothing I do in the snap back, pilots head view window allows for me to reset .....nothing.... What the hell am I missing????!!!! Because that plane will no longer be flyable .... This same thing happened on the A-8 and I could never fly it again until the update this summer .....Is there an over ride default key? I tried resetting defaults but that just wiped out all of my other settings!!!! WTF HELP Please
SCG_ErwinP Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Easy fix: Steam Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\LuaScripts\snapviews" and delete files named planes that have error. Go to Steam, right click on game, properties, verify files Oficial IL-2 Laucher Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\1C\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\LuaScripts\snapviews"" Open launcher and wait download new files. 1
FlyingH Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 You don´t need to verify or DL files there is a fiolder "default" where you can find the original files you need, or just start the game and it will create a fresh file. 1
db605Sct13 Posted December 22, 2020 Author Posted December 22, 2020 Thanx everybody !! Worked like a charm...!
1CGS -DED-Rapidus Posted December 22, 2020 1CGS Posted December 22, 2020 @db605Sct13, Yes, you need to delete all files in the IL 2 Folder\data\LuaScripts\snapviews folder except the defaults folder. 1
db605Sct13 Posted December 23, 2020 Author Posted December 23, 2020 It took awhile to reboot the game after that file was deleted, It must have had to rebuild the profile of something.....what the game interface might need is a "go back" or reset button in the menu. Because resetting defaults just made me reset all of my settings for everything ....which is a pain....
Drum Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Next time you can enter Steam, right click on your IL2 game listing; click 'Properties' and 'Local Files' then finally 'Verify integrity of game files'. It will replace the missing files without overwriting your other files.
