Gun stabilization in tanks

I was using command menus in TC. Told gunner to target train. Gunner shot a few times then train went behind hill. Turent kept following train. Ordered movement to driver. 

 

As tank moved the gun was moving up and down similar to a modern Abrams. Was stabilization a thing in german tanks.

I don't believe any country except the USA fielded a working stabilized gun with a gyroscope for elevation, and even then most reports I've read is that they were often disabled by the crews that didn't particularly like them

@CDRSEABEE, this is how It works and is very approximate, but thanks for the information, we will think about how to untie the AI from the target if it has disappeared behind a natural shelter.
