Unreal exhaust & dust trails/clouds

Is anyone else seeing very long exhaust & dust trails behind WW-1 aircraft? On a recent single mission there were dust clouds behind the aircraft even before engine start! When engines were started exhaust smoke was added to this cloud. In air the exhaust trail behind the aircraft was huge and could have been mistaken for fire & smoke.At first I thought it may have been a side effect of one of the various “smoke effect “ mods but after disabling these ( I think I stopped them all, but one never knows..) the long exhaust trails remained.These trails are distracting and not realistic-if you see films of WW-1 true replicas exhaust trails of rotary & inline engines are almost negligible. So my question is this has anyone else seen tthis his effect or know the reason for it...in ot her words :is there a solution?

That is not normal. You either have smoke on for aerobatics or a mod is interfering with you install....

That definitely looks like yellow aerobatic smoke to me.

Never turned on the aerobatic smoke...but will check anyhow...THEN go through the mods...

No acrobatics smoke ever chosen , so its not that.All related atmospheric mods turned off & I've still got it.Will turn off mods & see what happens...

Certainly a problem somewhere in Mods..I'll need to track it down.

Here is exhaust with only "Lens Flare " operational in mods:

That's why I don't use it.

No something else perhaps ( but I will check . Initially I turned that off & others but effect remained.) Then I turned them all off in game, rebooted ,no dust clouds.Now going through the mods menu ,stating with the Steam VR boost.

BTW

A similar dust cloud effect was happening in tanks in Tank Crew...also gone when effects were turned off.

@Blitzen do you happen to have custom settings in your Nvidia panel? If you have them disable them. Use only ingame settings in this case.

Use the Nvidia control panel key to default unless there is something you really need. I guess that if you don't remember, then you don't have.

 

I have seen many problems, even less visibility with people who try to enhance settings or improve visbility. They end up causing problems instead and more difficulty spotting, just the contrary.

Try to replay that track you had after you have the settings in default.

Just tested.Malta Mod appears to be the culprit.. Not sure if Desert Mod might also be involved.
