BOX - How do you set up a co-op mission?

I would like to fly missions in this amazing game with a friend by hosting a server on my PC. Is there a guide somewhere? Why no sticky on this? All I have come across are fragments of information here and elsewhere. 

 

When I look at the cooperative folder it does contain a cooperative_complex_example.mission file but when I try to create a co-operative server there are no missions in rotation. 

 

I see missions for download here but no instructions on how to implement them. I got PWCG but as I understand it this only creates missions.

 

So where can this arcane knowledge be had?

 

BTW, my friend and I first went head-to-head in a game called Fighter Duel (see my profile pic) in the mid 90's if anyone remembers that one. Slightly more sophisticated now, but that game was also very good. Connected by modem, worked perfectly.

Information on running a multiplayer server is in Chapter 11 of the editor manual.

Thanks Vander. I had heard about this. I generated my first mission today and everything worked great, modified the Dserver sds file and logged into my server ..., until I got to the mission start page. I was locked out of the mission because I didn't "own" the plane. I set the mission to fly a BF109 F4 which I've flown many times in single player missions. I've also bought a number of the others,  SPit5, P-38. I was able to fly a G series 109 in the example co-op mission but I did notice some of the other ones were locked out. How do I let the system know I have those planes? 

 

 

EDIT; Oops, it was the F2...maybe I don't have that one...going to try the F4.

 

EDIT2: That was it. The F4 is available. Great flight. Looking forward to many coop missions.
