Salute all:

Trying to figure out RConClient and controlling my server remotely (for the most part the DServer machine is right beside me, but I feel RConClient gives me more control.  And if I install it on a different machine, it would not be so handy, I would need this capability).

When connecting RConClient to DServer, rcon always asks for the IP I want to connect to, but defaults to 127.0.0.1.  How do I change that to my local IP address?  I tried editing the startup.cfg file, as well as the _rconClient.cfg file, but it still comes up as 127.0.0.1.

How do I change that?

Cheers

See "Control a Multiplayer Mission Server From Any PC" on pg. 173 of the editor manual.

Outstanding.  I probably should have read that a bit closer the first time...

BTW, what does the "Marshals" box do?

That's for the upcoming "Air Marshall" feature, which allows a player to assume a commander role for one side. They are still testing this so we don't know any specifics yet on how it works.

Outstanding. It's nice dealing with someone who gives a sh!t, and is clearly proud of what he has created.  Are you going to put out a revised manual?

Salute Sir!

I’m actually considering printing it, IMHO (plus I’m an old guy) it’s easier to use without a display, and I can use it concurrently with the editor without having to switch windows
