Battle of Moscow - Operation Typhoon campaign

Three weeks after the start of Operation Barbarossa, the German armies continue to advance. Hitler had promised to be in Moscow by the end of August, the advance was to proceed without respite. One after another the main cities fall: to the north Riga has been conquered, opening the way to Leningrad; to the south, the Third Panzer Division reached the gates of Kiev; here in the center, after the closure of the Minsk pocket with the capture of 290 thousand prisoners, the last obstacle to reach Moscow is the city of Smolensk. Before starting the attack on the city, however, it is necessary to reinforce the flanks of the advance: Velikie Luki represents the main point of the north flank. <BR>The conformation of the terrain makes any movement on the ground difficult, which is why the control of the railway junctions and the road network of the region is of fundamental importance for both parties. Having the ability to quickly move vehicles and troops along the front line will provide a decisive advantage in continuing the campaign.

HOW TO PARTECIPATE AND BASIC RULES:
-) each army will have a Commander (see: "COMMANDER DUTIES")
-) you participate in teams, each team must have a squadron leader who will refer to the commander.
-) each team must register by choosing one or more "categories" from: fighters, attackers, bombers.
-) each team will receive a number of planes equal to: number of players + % of reinforcement (see: "AVAILABLE PLANES AND REINFORCEMENTS")
-) the achievement of a objective will have consequences on the next mission
-) the targets will have a reconnaissance photo but they will not be marked on the map with precision, the informations to find them will be contained in the briefing
-) the icons on the in-game map are "scenic" only
-) each mission will start at the take-off signal, it is absolutely forbidden to remove the wheels from the ground before the signal
-) wheels on the ground = safe it is forbidden to bomb'n'strafe the airports unless it is a target assigned at the beginning of the mission
-) ITAF group, as organizers, reserve the right to intervene. in the event of problems, disputes or misunderstandings even during the game
-) the Players accept, with their participation, these Rules and the unquestionable judgment of the Organizers.
