Hurricane Skin Template Help? (resolved)

Skinners, can someone please save my sanity?
I'm having a mess around with the new Hurricane skin and for the life of me I cannot find where this little section is mapped on the template:

This is on the engine cowling right hand side just above the exaust, for the life of me I can't find this intake thing and clearly it doesn't colour with the main section, i've been going round colouring various bits and bobs in bright green then exporting to see if i've got it right and i'll be damned if i can find it.

If you don't have Panelfinder you may want to have it available.  It is a jpg you load as a layer in any template to generate a dds with colors and numbers to ID various parts of the plane in Skinviewer.  You place it as the first visible layer of the template and generate a dds.  This is the 4K version.

Well, So far it's going well.

I've got some work to do on the Alpha mind as it needs to be more matte for this pattern.

Unfortunately the guns you mention do not cycle through when animated in Skinviewer.  However if you go into the game and load the Panelfinder skin with those guns you will see they are not colored by the Panelfinder colors and numbers.  This means they are considered aircraft parts, i.e., not part of the template and therefore cannot be skinned. 

 

You also notice the cover to the radiator also cannot be skinned.  So the wrong color is applied to all these parts  when a different color underside is chosen.  Most templates allow skinning of the wheels and struts but not the Hurricane, so I have a fairly weathered aircraft with brand spanking new wheels and struts.  ?

 

The reason may be there is just not enough room in the template for them and it's a compromise by the devs.  The Hurricane is, after all, many aircraft in one.
