Thank you for posting, I just had my annual eye visit and have a new prescription. I am giving VR-Wave this order and will be able to compare to my current Widmovr thanks to your observations. I will update here when I have them in the headset. UPDATE: Received VR-Wave lenses today and am happy with them with my new prescription. However, unlike @Drum in the post above, I can't tell any major difference in the way the lenses work in the headset or my view when compared to the Widmovr they replaced. It is of course hard to be certain though, because the VR-Wave with the new prescription is obviously better than my Widmovr lenses with the 2 year old prescription. So, YMMV. Jimcisme Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 I have the rift s and could not see in the headset, everything was blurry. I do wear prescription glasses with a bifocal but for reading I can see quite well with just readers. If you think about it what you are looking at is very close to your eye and I was able to buy readers with a round lens and 3D print an adaptor for each lens. It as worked great for me so far. Of course my prescription is mild so your mileage may vary. Jim
AuburnAlumni Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 I just got some for my Reverb G2 from VR Wave and I got another pair from VROptician a couple of years ago for my Oculus Rift/RiftS/Quest/Quest2 (Works on all of them). No issues with either and both were good experiences. 1

Yeah, I see VR-Wave have changed their lenses to the same cone shape Widmovr have. Too bad, the first design from VR-Wave were wider and more flat. Moving so don't have access to them to show the picture difference. Good to know that the change is not that much of a change over the Widmovr now though, thanks for the update Varibraun. Sorry you never got the first style however. 1
Drum Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 (edited) Here's the first style of VR-Wave lens caps, you'll notice they are wider then the new style now. The new style look very much like Widmovr caps... Edited May 29, 2021 by Drum
Gryphon_VR Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Does anyone have any comments on the US supplier (Reloptix?) I am ready to order but I'm not sold on the magnetic lens approach as I'm concerned it will take eye too far away from lens and restrict FOV. As far as I know, all the other suppliers are outside the US and have associated shipping costs. Is that so, or are there other US suppliers?
Drano Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 I'll let you know how they work out once mine arrive. Might be a couple more weeks. I took a shot at them as they were a better price than I could find that could accommodate my prescription. VRopticians did my last set set for a RiftS and they were great but these were for roughly half the price theirs were currently.
dburne Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 I used VR Optician for my Aero and absolutely love them. 1

javelina Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Recommend VR Optician as well. After placing the order, had them in a week. From Germany to Arizona... nice...
AstroCat Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 I got my Reloptix lens for my Quest 2 a couple days ago. So far all good, and really nice not needing my "reading" glasses. 1
Drano Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 Got my lens kit from Reloptix yesterday. My script was a bit high and because of that I had a longer wait for them. That's posted on their site but I missed that. As long as they showed up before I scratched a lens it's all good! Perfect fit on the G2 and everything looks great. Now I can actually fit the headset closer to my face so the fov is much improved. They're a two part system unlike the ones I had from VRopticians. These have a base section that fits over the G2 lens. The prescription lens fits to that magnetically and have little tabs so you can get them off easily. That's cool if you have other users of the headset as you can leave the base on and easily swap out other scripts or just plain lenses. I have no problems with them protruding too far. Eyelashes not hitting. Not using the extra G2 faceplate spacer anymore. I looked into getting another set from VRopticians but these at $76 were half the price and blue coating was included. I took a shot at them for that price and have to say I'm quite pleased. If you need a set give them a look.

It's a big improvement in game over glasses. Sweet spot and FOV much improved with the spacer gone. TOP TIP - for those who might struggle like I did to get the adapters seated on the lenses, use a smear of silicon spray lube around the inner rim of the adapters - far better than a hairdryer for getting them to snap on.
