Bailing out

Could we have a bailing out option for tanks as there is in planes, so crew can survive, rather than having to stay in a damaged tank & be killed.

Hi @fergal69, if you press Lcrtl + E you can bail out of any Tank Crew vehichle. (Other than the default T-34 and Pz-III)

This feature needs to be available for aircraft in IL-2 GBs after a crash landing. Especially when the plane has ditched into the water, or is on fire.

Didn't think about trying that, as was just looking under tank controls for a bail out key

The Pilot in mae west, and pilot in dinghy were available in IL-2 1946, there was a later "rescue" mod built as well allowing float/sea planes to "pick up" pilots in the water.  An advanced version allowed the floating pilot to signal his position with a light.

 

Seems a reasonable request...
