SOLIDKREATE Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 (edited) I'd like to report a bug on the Mission Editor. Every time I place an object or try and move somewhere else on the map. It just closes and crashes to desktop. This is even after a fresh install and recent update. I placed an airfield just now and as soon as I did, crash to desktop. RedKestrel Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 If it is CTDing, maybe there is a crash dump file? These are the instructions from Han for getting one from the "Finding a solution to random crashes" thread: If you could post that and your system specs that would help. 1. To enable Windows Error Reporting, run (double-click) this log file: \data\EnableErrorReporting.reg 2. In a case of the game crash open the folder where crash dumps are stored, you can do this by running this batch file: \data\ViewCrashDumps.cmd 3. Sort the dump files by date to find a newest one 4. Zip the newest dump file "Il-2.exe.****.dmp" (**** is a random number) 5. Post about the crash in this thread, attach the archive you just made and provide some details: When you encountered the crash; In what game mode (MP/QMB/campaign/scenario); In what mission; What did you do before the crash; What happened in the mission before the crash; Additional info you think is relevant to the crash. 1
SOLIDKREATE Posted November 20, 2020 Author Posted November 20, 2020 Okay I will do that. Thanks man, this was exactly the type of answer I was looking for. Hopefully I just have a bad RAM sector or something.

DOWNLOAD CRASH FILE: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pkdIbsjDIujHy-46wUYHhBOlsgCxlOBP/view?usp=sharing When you encountered the crash: I placed an Air Field Respawn and tried to rotate it. In what game mode (MP/QMB/campaign/scenario); Mission Editor, Deathmatch creation. In what mission; Rhineland Autumn What did you do before the crash; I had just finished placing an airfield way down in Frankfurt and then held down the right mouse button to drag myself all the way up to Antwerp. What happened in the mission before the crash; Nothing, everything was fine until I tried to place my airfield. Additional info you think is relevant to the crash SEE BELOW. OS: Windows 10 x64 Home RAM: 32GB DDR4 RAM 'Crucial Ballistix' CPU: Intel i7 6700 Skylake 4.2GHz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1660Ti 6GB MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 ========== I performed a Windows memory diagnostic and Windows found no errors. Here is a snapshot of what I have via the performance monitor (not the test). I uploaded only my most recent crash dump file. Here is a screen shot of all what I have just from the mission I was trying to create: Edited November 21, 2020 by VA_SOLIDKREATE 1
