It doesn't contain so many changes, but it adds a new aircraft to the Battle of Normandy Early Access - Bf 109 G-6 late. With the MW-50 injection system engaged, it was a formidable machine capable of confronting the Allied fighters of that time. Normandy map and Battle of Normandy Career are still in development according to the development plan, but you can already use the new addition in the Rheinland career - we've added it to the five groups that have been using this Bf 109 during the Rheinland career timeframe historically. ............................................... Thought something was up when I tried to enter the game and it kept throwing me out, turned off the PC and fired up again and here we go with yet another update. Take care and be safe. Wishing you all the very best, Pete.
6FG_Big_Al Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Thank you very much for this update! Can't wait to test this lady out ?
JLean Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Agrrhh my flight was interrupted by server connection lost...but what a pleasant surprise when it started installing update. New planes coming weekly...keep up with that pace? Thanks team !!
Stryker07 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I go to get some taco bell on my day off of work, come home and i had the login screen up from when i left. Says my game is out of date. No way the new 109 has dropped i say to myself. Pleasantly surprised, well done devs!!! 2
CUJO_1970 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I’m powerless to resist the 109G6-Late. Can’t wait to fly it. 1
Retrofly Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 What will be the next plane on the list? Fw A-6, Maybe the Spit XIV?
DN308 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Congrats Dev's!!! Problem is: as the average speed you release Updates, we would ask for more and more everyday!!! So, what's next???? ???
fergal69 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Thanks for hard work you guys are putting in, especially in these trying times.
DN308 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Oh, and BTW, just to be sure, @Han, do we would have to update and resave once more our missions and campaigns? (serious question from a WIP campaign builder)
Rya889-N Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Amazing, Than you for all your hard work, especially during these difficult times.
LuftManu Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Thanks for the new update! and more kudos doing this with a Pandemic going on. Stay safe and thanks!
ZachariasX Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Nice work! And thank you: 16. Hurricane Mk.II compass now has fluorescent needles; 1

Fw-190 A6 we haven´t seen nada yet, not even 3D-model. The Spit XIV was already shown with external skin, not just 3D-model. So my bet is on the Spit XIV. Edited November 16, 2020 by sevenless 1
-=PHX=-SuperEtendard Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 One nice change that wasn't mentioned in the patch notes: With the new Bf 109 G-6 Late the upper armored glass frame geometry was corrected and this change was applied to all of the rest of 109s that have it (G-2, G-4, G-6 early, G-14, K-4). Left is how it was before, right is how it is now: Good work ? 12 8 22

While I have long grown tired of that joke under most circumstances, I do appreciate your sense of humor. That and yours and the team's work ethic. Two weeks after a major update and here comes an impressive list of improvements and a new plane. One step closer to the Mosquito too. Thanks to all of you.
DBFlyguy Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Very nice Monday surprise!!! Thank you to the devs for getting this out so quickly!
UFA_Bagel Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Could anyone post screenshots with the new 109 specification?
silvergun Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Well, I’m completely disappointed with the Bf 109 G-6 Late, apart from the new 4K skins and textures from the landing gear bay, it’s an authentic copy paste (very little effort), the interior with the same old, worn and scratched textures as the 2013 Bf 109 G-2, the same low polygon count inside and outside (compared to new planes). ...and without the G-6/AS modification! This is not a standard for a 2020 plane, ex: vs. P-47D-22 (the first Battle of Normandy aircraft). About the rest of the 4.503 patch, good improvements, thanks. 1 3 8
PatrickAWlson Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Forget the new 109, this is the big news: 14. Oxygen mask breathing sound has been toned down a bit; No more slasher movie sounds. I might miss it though,. It did put me in the mood to kill. 6

I wonder what else has been changed without being mentioned?
oc2209 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 After reviewing the G6 Late's stats in the game, and comparing them to the G14, I have to say... I want the Late now. It's lighter than the 14, only very slightly slower, and the turn rate is barely worse than the plain G6's (0.2 seconds added to turn time on the deck). And needless to say, it turns better than the G14 and K at any altitude. This might be the Goldilocks 109 for people obsessed with minor stat differences. Like myself. 2
ACG_Ginger Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Excellent update Dev's well done once again. Any chance of some more static blocks for Towed armour and the like to make the ground war a bit more interesting. keep up the good work. 1

There is no need to manually set engine revolutions and mixture or supercharger gear in normal flight. - MW-50 water-methanol mixture injection system that prevents the engine detonation in the emergency power mode (modification). It engages automatically when the throttle is set to maximum, there is enough mixture for 25-30 minutes. However, the engine can work up to 10 minutes at this mode, wait for another 10 minutes at the combat mode before engaging the emergency mode again. Attention: running the engine at the emergency mode without the water-methanol mixture or at altitudes higher than 6 km is forbidden! A pilot can check the system using the injection pressure indicator on the left: its normal pressure is 0.6...0.7 atm, stop using it if the pressure is lower than 0.4 atm and switch the engine to combat mode. - In addition to full-automatic mode there is a special manual control mode for the radiator shutters, which can be used in specific situations. - To reduce swinging during taxiing due to prop-wash the propeller pitch control should be switched to manual mode and pitch should be reduced to minimum. - Airplane has no flight-control trimmers. Airplane is equipped with bendable trim tabs that can be set pre-flight by ground personnel. - Airplane has a manually controlled horizontal stabilizer. It should be set to +1° before takeoff and to -4°...-5° before landing. Also, it may be used to trim the flight stick during the flight. In a deep dive the stabilizer should be set so that the pilot must push the flight stick forward to maintain the dive angle. - Airplane has automatic wing slats. They deploy when the high angle of attack increases which makes pre-stall softer. - Airplane has a manual mechanical system for retracting the landing flaps, for this reason it is necessary to extend landing flaps well before final approach. Markers on the left-wing flap indicate how far the flaps are extended. The flaps can be extended to any angle up to 40°. - Airplane has a manual tail wheel lock. Wheel should be locked when taxiing straight for a long distance and before takeoff and landing. - Airplane has independent left and right hydraulic wheel brake controls. To apply either brake push the upper part of the rudder pedal. - Airplane has a fuel gauge which shows total fuel remaining. Also, it has an emergency fuel warning light (80 liters). - The design of the cockpit canopy does not allow it to be opened during flight. The canopy should be closed before takeoff to prevent damage. The canopy has an emergency release system for bailouts. - The control system for the bomb rack only allows to drop bombs one by one. - The gunsight has a sliding sun-filter. 2 1

310_cibule Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 (edited) After installing this patch the game crashes pretty often (never in-flight). It has never crashed before. Any suggestion? If the G-6 Late is the reason, take it away please. I don't need it ; ) Edit: Solved, PC restart helped. You may keep the G-6 Late in the game. Edited November 16, 2020 by 310_cibule 3
