Rock you like a Hurricane!

Looks ready to me!

One little request,  would it be possible to make the gunsight a bit brighter and less washed out looking?  Looks a bit anemic. Other than that we’re good to go!

Ok guys so I was in the army in 1987/88. One of our favourite sayings was: Hurry up and wait. Thats the army for you. Also check wiki "The phrase may have originated in the United States military in the 1940s.[1] Many U.S. military veterans, in particular, consider this phrase to be synonymous with military culture."

The word play here is irresistable and so appropriate- Hurri-up and wait!?

I can clearly hear it:   ACHTUNG SPRITZFEUER

I think it should be more along the lines of Spuckfeuer.

Spritzen is squirting (or an injection) so if you've got Spritzfeuer I recommend you visit your doctor. (He'll probably give you a Spritz and it'll clear right up. ?

Liking the music choice, and the video. :)

Think of it this way..... If you're piloting it, you won't have to look at it ?

No, sorry you are not right. I am German was born in GREAT BAVARIA and i live in Bayern. ?

And if you have seen the Battle of Britain in German, there the Bordschütze of the STUKA shouts Schpitfeuer but i like it as Spritzfeuer and SPRITZFEUER is menat to be ironically.?

And it does mean what it does and what i intended to be meant?

Interesting. You kinda gave me the impression of an English speaker who knows a smattering of German and had assembled German words resembling Spitfire (fire being correct of course).

I've seen BoB in English but the German bits are still in German (I actually made my own translation subtitles for the German because all the ones I found on the net were so inaccurate) so I know the bit you're talking about but I don't think it sounds like Spritz myself.

Then again you Bavarians have such a strong dialect who knows what you understand! ?

At least you make the best Helles. ?

Grüß Gott. ?

That honors me!!

?

What you are saying my ENGLISH is not too bad! Thank you very much!!!

We have a strong dialect, (you are absolutely right) and there are many other dialects in Weißwurstland, like MÖCHTEGERN Bayrisch (Oberbayern) (those who live in Minger), Niederbayern, Oberpfalz etc.?

Mir sagn Servus oder Griasgott, host mi du Grantler!!!?

PS: SPRITZFEUER is my interpretation, but it sounds (at least for me) like

Hary (Harald), Achtung SCHPITFEUER, but you know at those times i can t imagine that many Zschermans spoke English very well!

Dude your English is great! ?

Your German however... ?

"Grantler" verstehe ich gar nicht, der Rest hab ich "interpretiert". ?

Yeah when I was working on the subtitles I got a couple of (German) friends to help me with some of the really tricky bits (where there were originally limited or no subs) including the bit in (I believe) the same scene when one of the Stukas is going down with a dead pilot and the gunner is yelling something like "(unintelligible), mehr Höhe!" and my friend is pretty sure that guy and a lot of the Germans in the scene where they're trying to get the crew out of a damaged, landed He 111 are not native speakers and (to him) sound English. ?‍♂️

But yes, it sounds like Schpittfeuer to me too.

So watching that film when the Hurricane comes out...

PS: I believe it's spelled Tschörmän. ???

You know, different people have different tastes (that s ok), but you know it was a sin to eat that sausage with bread, only with a Brezel or Laugenstange? and SÜßEN SENF

Grantler is a person, who is always nagging / moaning and sees mostly all negative, in other words NOT A VERY POSITIVE PERSON?

hey but i did not mean it personally.

Does yours look like that already? Does it depend on graphics settings? Mine looks like the flames of a camp fire on a giant scale.

Ah good to know, it's fun learning dialect words. I think I know a few... what is the plural? Gräntler?

Ha ha, I didn't think so. ?

Most likely will have to wait until the new and improved  BoB comes out.*

* conjecture only and is not representative of the next GB module in reality

I would except it looks the same as it’s been. At least to me it does...

Maybe it does, as I have graphics maxed out.

@Trooper117 new aircraft have crews tied to what nation they are set to in the mission editor, and they have been adding this feature to previous aircraft as well. QMB uses the default nation (In the hurricane's case it is USSR).

I always catch Russian fighters slipping because they often either can't tell what kind of 109 it is or they aren't aware at all that the E7 can turn on a dime under 350kph and roll just about like a 190.

Good Luck doing this against the Hurricane.

It's already like that! As long as you set country = Great Britain

The Hurricane definitely has great potential for becoming my new favourite early war plane and get me flying early war missions in multiplayer a lot more.

Which map is used for the Hurricane landing at the end of the video?

That's the Kuban map.

Have any changes been made to the .303 AP ammo or the DM for the new/coming soon planes?   Online based on our experience with even .50 AP I can't imagine a .303 armed plane being very effective even with 12 .303s.

I hope so too, especially because the British introduced incendiary rounds for the .303 during Operation Dynamo (Battle of Dunkirk) and later the US copied these bullets for their AN/M2 .30 and AN/M2 .50 machine guns. (Anthony G. Williams/ Emmanuel Gustin: Flying Guns of World War II)

Currently we have none of that and this has not been addressed by the developers in any way.

For the .50 there is now a mod that can be used as a workaround, but not for the smaller calibers.

The Spitfire MK Vb is using AP only in its .303 Brownings that will also appear on thew Hurricanes...

I suspect the Russian armament will be a popular selection on the Hurri.

I dunno, sneaking up behind someone and clocking them on the head from 100 ft with a large mallet in the form of 12 .303 brownings is still rather fun.

The C-version could be fun too. 4X Hispano is a pretty winning combination.

good luck doing that in slow airplane like Hurri, 4x20mm guns and 2x20+2x12mm soviet is way to go in this game. I remenber playing it constantly in clod and i would always use as many incendeary ammo on its belts as posible as that was only way to damage enemy airplanes before they get away from gun range as anyting axis have is faster then it you can only suprise guys in furballs.

It will be OK in early war maps.  Can't be too much worse than the P-40, right?  I think the real fun will be ground attack with the 40mm.

A WW2 fighter with a gun caliber from the Great War is not a great idea.  Even the 4 .50 Browning option on the P40 is a far more potent package.
