Thrustmaster T16000M & Pedals Setup

Recommended Posts

Hi!

Today I installed IL2.

Coming from Microsoft Flight Sim i wanted to fly some old planes.

I have a Thrustmester T16000M including stick, throttle and pedals.

But i was not able to do anything inside the cockpit.

Only firing the gun and some other strange viewing functions work.

Do i really have to map every single function to my controllers?

Yes, of course. This because not everyone likes a default setup, except perhaps for the axis. So you will need to bind all functions you like

to have on your stick or throttle.

Pedal axis is straightforward assign:

Go to Keybinds > Plane Controls

Assign rudder pedal axis for YAW

And brake pads axes for "Right Wheel Brakes" and "left Wheel Brakes".

For joystick and throttle use this setup as start point:

So many choices too. I must have changed my mind fifty times when assigning buttons. And then each a/c has a few special quirks. I recommend starting a spreadsheet and writing it all down, then be prepared to change it a dozen times or more until you find what is most natural for you.

@Sokol1

Thanks, think this helps. It is a bit of a pain to figure out which function is which.
