I'm retired, can't play sports anymore and live with a dog, through FC I can earn the respect of ppl I respect, I can be creative making missions, skins, and videos, and best of all I can be aggressive in an acceptable environment! And that's on top of the laughs on comms. So maybe I get more out of this game than others, and so feel it more when it's not there, like last night. I've tried WW2, it just doesn't excite me as much.

That's awesome, because all my wingman does is complain and yell at the top of his lungs at me with that Bostonian accent of his. He compared me to Klugermann.

A couple of updates back, they came in and revised the spotting to a point that it was like airquake, which eventually became "enhanced visibility".  You could spot things at like 50 kilometers.  Unrealistic.  The "realistic spotting" however, left me feeling oftentimes like a blind man.  I complained a little, and I remember getting a response from the developers along the lines of "we are done with this".

But then, a couple of weeks ago, they addressed this.  Spotting has never been better in this sim, or any of the other contemporary sims I play.  So, I take that to mean that these developers listen and improve things.  I think they just get sick of hearing the endless bitching.

This sort of thing has happened often since BoS first went to EA.  I think they often have a road-map, but they don't bother to tell us about every bump they're going to iron out.

Honestly not being sarcastic but what's your time limit for this logic? A month? A year? 5 years? 100 years? at a certain point you have to draw a line.

10,000 years.  You decide your own line.  If you haven’t heard anything within your defined time limit, then just give up.

BTW, I’m not being sarcastic either.  I can’t even imagine sitting around waiting for a developer to tell me what they’re going to do.  There is only 1 exception.  If I’ve paid money then I expect them to tell me that the thing I paid for is not happening.  But if they don’t have my money, then they owe me nothing.

Any therapist will tell you that it's always better to vent than repress. So to "Kvetsh" is healthy and will lead to "Kvell".

What if you buy something, pay for the product, use the product, enjoy all aspects of the product, and then one day your product downloads an update which makes the new product completely different than the product you paid for?

Would you then like to see information posted which might suggest the product return to the product you originally purchased, and in fact enjoyed?

Nope.  I’ll post my complaint in the forum.  Depending on how much I still enjoy the game I might keep playing for a while.  If the changes bother me that much, then I’ll just stop playing.  I’m pretty sure that I can find some other game that I like if game X changes in a way that I don’t like.  Once you paid your money and they delivered the product, not playing is really your only leverage to get them to change things.  Trust me, they want your money for FC2.  Or whatever other game that they’re going to release.

Or maybe they just decided that there aren’t enough WW1 fans to divert the resources to keep you.  In that case, you’re just screwed.

So that same product from above comes from a company with similar products that they always talk about and the product that you bought never gets talked about... you wouldn't... complain a little?

Not a little even with a fox?

Or a little on a box?

Or a little on a house?

Or complain with a mouse?

Of course. The point is Jason is ignoring it. And has for some time. Daedallus has not been the first person to vent (I and many others have) but the result has always been the same. Silence from the devs who haven't even bothered to issue a simple statement that would take two minutes out of their busy schedule. That's insulting the FC community in my book. But, unfortunately, I can't see things changing.

I told you that I would post a complaint in the forum if they made a change that I didn’t like.  But I’m not going to keep badgering them for an update on whether they’re planning to get rid of that change.

You probably were not here for “unlockables”.  I complained about it.  I didn’t constantly ask for updates for when they were changing it.  I just figured that was such a terrible idea that they’d eventually have to change it.  They did.

Fair enough, but just because you're (hypothetically) willing to give up on your 80 bucks so easily doesn't mean you should expect other people to, I think people have a right to be toxic about this.

What possible good will that do?  They’ll just delete your posts and eventually ban you.

I bought the CloD add-on.  That was a mistake.  What good is it going to do me to spam the forum with complaints?  I just won’t buy anything else from TF.  Problem solved.

It makes no difference to me.  I’m just pointing out a better option than spamming the forum.  Stop playing the game or just trust that they’ll eventually change it.

What's your point? That's like catching someone cheating with your wife and the first thing he says is " lol bro, getting mad isn't going to help this situation " doesn't matter whether it helps or not, sometimes people have a right to be mad and you can't blame them.

So you’d spend the next few months on a forum complaining about your wife cheating on you?  Not me.  I’d just get a divorce.

What if the company of that product deleted your post in the complaint forums?

Or the posts of all your friends complaining?

Ok, your wife cheats on you. But you dpnt complain you just go to the bar. But then your friends complain about it and they get thrown out of the bar.

Would you complain then?

Of course I’d get mad.  But I wouldn’t be posting on a forum 2 months later asking my wife if she was going to give me an update about whether she planned to continue cheating on me.  I’d just get a divorce.

I’d take the hint and move on.  I was threatened with a ban for a relatively minor complaint about Tobruk.  I took the hint.

Do you remember when the content of FC1 was completed?  They said they hoped to be able to create further modules in the future.  If nothing more is heard thereafter, it can be inferred only that no further work is currently scheduled for FC,  not that it's the end of the line or anything else.  Consequently there is nothing to announce, so it should be hardly surprising that nothing is being said.

You cannot reasonably expect a running commentary on a company's internal plans, particularly if it may not be in a position to make any.

Well there you go, people are mad, the problem is we can't get a divorce for this, aka money back, because me and many other people would have by now.

I really don’t get the “mad” thing.  I don’t like Tobruk, but I’m not mad about it.  It’s just not what I was hoping for.  I moved on.

No I'm not expecting a running commentary Al. I've never said that. I'm objecting to the devs not even bothering to issue one simple statement over a span of 6 months in reply to many voiced concerns. From paying customers. Frankly, that sucks balls.

Ok, so you're at the bar NEXT TO the guy whose wife just cheated on him and he complains about it. Both of you are drinking the exact same beer. Two of your friends shows up, who also know that guy whose wife cheated. They also are drinking the same beer. Everyone finishes their beers and another round is ordered. THIS TIME, the beer tastes skunky and three of the four drinkers complain about it. Two are immediately thrown out by the bouncer. Then you and the remaining drinker are then told that the beer is not in fact skunky but is a new and improved brew of the same beer.

Do you complain?

Sorry, I thought I made it painfully clear that I would move on.  I was recently at a bar where I was served skunky tasting crap.  I didn’t go to a forum to complain about it 2 months later.  I left the bar.

So if you saw someone else complaining about the beer would you complain about that person complaining about the beer?

From what it sounds like is that you wouldn't do it in public so why are you doing it here to daedallus?

If I saw someone complaining I wouldn’t say anything unless I saw them there 2 months later complaining about the exact same thing.  Then I might say something.  Or I’d just laugh at them.  It probably would depend on how hot the bartender is.

Life can be tough.  If after all of the day's stresses in life, some of you still have so many bushels of fvks left over to whine day in, day out for months at a time over a percieved flaw in a $40 video game, I'm almost envious...must mean that life is pretty darned good if you can expend so much energy like that.  No, I take that back.  Not envious a bit.  Edit: And I say that coming from the standpoint of someone who does flight simming almost every day.  I understand how passionate one can be at it, but at some point, you have to just get real.  If I threw a tantrum every time I spent 40 or 80 bucks on some flight simming thing that dissapointed me in some way, (or bought anything for that matter) there wouldn't be enough time left over in the day.

So daedallus is here, coming to his favorite pub every day. Been drinking this skunky pisswater for four or five months straight and never said a word. He even makes videos of drinking this pisswater. Meanwhile, everyone is watching like "how in the hell he able to drink that piss and ain't said nothing about it!?" Finally, daedallus comes in the pub one day, takes a drink, and says "this is be-eh es fookin' PISSWAH-AH!!" BSR, walks in with his penis breath and says "oh shut up already! Drink it or go someplace else! And goddamn Talbot, your hair is absolutely amazing!" And I say, "thank you BSR. Your mother really loves it when my hair is styled like this between her legs."

Actually if your behavior at the bar would be anything like this forum what would actually happen is you would show up at the bar every hour every day for that full 2 months, then tell him repeatedly how pathetic his complaining is and if you were in his shoes you would move on and get a life.?

The complaining that I see in this forum would get you kicked out of most bars in about 2 minutes.
