Thanks @hq_Jorri

BTW

There are plans for an incendiary ammunition for ww2, and since FC and GB share common platform, I'm looking forward for incendiary ammunition for Spad XIII balloons guns and possibility to take the new ammo type to other scouts too ?

Wow, Gun Jesus really stepped up his game on this one. His depth of knowledge and understanding never fails to amaze me.

How does he gets his hands on those rare weapons. They must cost a little fortune...

@hq_Jorri come fly some Flying Circus with us again :)

I might have to :) what's a good flying day?

And I think he mostly just travels around to review guns from peoples collections, or guns that are up for auction. It's not like he's the Jay Leno of guns ?

Hey Jorri, haven't seen you in these parts for yonks.

Great vid. The inventive mind overcoming obstacles with simple solutions. It's these little things with enormous consequences going on behind the scenes in WW1 that blow me away. The synchronized machine gun mechanism for instance has always fascinated me and was such a huge game changer.

I hear ya. The whole story that these are repurposed machineguns makes so much sense, as well.

And thanks Sizzlor! I'll try to drop by soon ?

I'd love to try that vane-sight out. That would be really nifty!

If "Nooballoon Guns" get incendiaries we'll never hear the end of it!!

Not a video, but some stuff on the Vickers Balloon Guns from a USAS aircraft armament handbook:

All our guns have incendiaries. Or rather, regular bullets that magically transfer into incendiaries whenever they hit a balloon.
