yeikov Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Hello @BlackSix After a game reinstall, I have started again this campaign, and I've found that in mission 4 the FW190s seem to be excessively precise when shooting: every time I try the mission, I get wounded in the first AI shot (I have no time to see any tracers about me). I've run the mission 6 times with the same result. I've tried seeing what's going on with autopilot and icons, and the same thing happens: first FW190 shot at me always hits my pilot, so apparently it's not my lack of skill ?. The rest of the Tempest pilots seem to experience the same fate, so we get decimated in a few minutes. I don't remember having this problem the previous time I played this campaign (before the last 1-2 game patches), was something changed in the AI skill of this mission, or could it be an AI bug? I wanted to check here before reporting this in the technical issues section. Thanks for your work! 1

Maybe something has changed in the behavior of the AI and this has now become a problem, I'll reduce the level of the wingmans in the first flight and replace the Ace with a Veteran. I fly in VR with no assists on and no HUD displays. I keep icons on just so I can see the subtitles. I made it safely back to base with 1 of my wingmen alive in tow. I admit one of them got behind me for a minute, but I shook him off with a split S on the edge of blackout and shot him down for it. I only flew it once. Unfortunately, I don’t have a second of free time right now to do full testing and change something in the very structure of the mission. 1

PB0_Roll Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Just finished it myself. It is yet to be updated with XIVs and Typhoons, but I enjoyed it very much. Contrary to the lifeless career missions, there was some efforts to have player feel like he's a cog in the machine, the briefings were nicely done, and ennemy aircrafts didn't look like they were all targeting the player. I sadly died on the last mission after my wingmen rammed me (I was able to escape the first one but not the second), so I had to refly it, and bag an additionnal 5 kills to add to my already 18 kills list. I really hope career missions can get a bit closer to this level of immersion.

I want to say I have all the paid campaigns, but I want to say thank you for taking the time to work on the free one first and get it done and not side lined because "paid comes first". I honestly appreciate that and like to see it. I don't mind waiting at all for the paid ones I own to be updated. I enjoy seeing free content pushed and worked on. Its why I come back and continually buy and will buy more campaigns in the future, especially when well made free ones are there too. 1

The plans have changed a bit: 1) the first campaign to receive tactical numbers will be Steel Birds, this should be available in the next update; 2) a free Typhoon campaign for Normandy should be released before the end of the year, also with tactical numbers for all aircraft; 3) work to update the remaining paid campaigns is scheduled for Q1 2023; 4) completion of the Yak-7b campaign is also scheduled for Q1 2023; 5) updating any free campaigns depends on the decision of the management. 14 1 1

Malulani Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Mission 5 is bugged. I completed mission with 5 kills. Hit every waypoint. Landed back at vokel undamaged and it said I failed mission. How??? I don't have time to keep replaying missions and it did this twice. Will have to ignore the rest of campaign since there's no way to progress, making the rest of the campaign unplayable.
1CGS BlackSix Posted March 23, 2024 Author 1CGS Posted March 23, 2024 In the settings, turn on invulnerability (so you don't have to replay), then start the mission, turn on the autopilot and 8x acceleration. Autopilot will do everything for you in the background. I just did all this, the landing is valid, the mission is completed.

Moreover, the campaign is built in such a way that most events and the appearance of objects are tied to the player's plane. In order to make cooperative missions out of this, you need to do everything from scratch, with a much smaller number of objects. 1

Still don't like encrypted campaigns, never buy them anymore; quite often i'd like to change something small fry like a load out etc, and you van never get why like with Wind of Fury if there is something missing like an old epl file that needs to be added or replaced. Your problems are due to the fact that you either installed third-party unverified mods or tried to change the game files. Perform a clean installation of the game, and if the problem with access to campaigns persists, contact tech support. 1
