getting kicked back to steam start screen for il2. BoS

FOR SOME APPARENT REASON. IM GETTING KICKED BACK TO STEAM IL2. B o S, START SCREEN AFTER LAUNCHING GAME, GAME RUNS , BACKGROUND  NOISES. RED BAR GOES TO THE RIGHT TO THE END SAYS LOADING, THEN KICKED BACK TO STEAM START, IVE, VERIFIED GAME CACHE. ALLS WELL. SEEMS VERY ODD, ANY SUGGESTIONS.?

I am getting the same result on starting both in VR and on monitor. There has been some kind of update perhaps or hotfix but not to SteamVR as that is as before. Maybe something up with the Master Server.

Same for me also in the UK, all good at the moment, however, I have had issues with the game crashing and restarting the P. C. with no clear reason of exactly why, happened again last night just once but was okay after I fired the game up again.

 

The best I can figure for me is that it seems to happen if the game is running at a very low F.P.S., around 40, other than that all my gear seems to show no issues and it only happens with the GB series.

 

The game does run through various localised servers I think, at least for downloading, so the ones in your respective regions are probably having technical issues, hope you guys find a solution quickly as it is very annoying not being able to play when you want..

the same in Brazil, this game every day is a new bug, error # 10009 disconnections, error with trackir, error when starting, freezes, money thrown down the drain....

Same in Italy. But only launching from Steam, launching Il2.exe directly there was no problem. It seems to be a Steam problem to me. System recovery that I did was useless

Checked all the files using steam and even uninstalled the game and re-downloaded, still not working in both VR and pancake version.

 

Will try il2.exe

 

Update

 

Got it working using the il2.exe, and it works fine using steam VR, just don't launch through steam.

I have the same issue here in Singapore. The game will load up with the red bar all the way, and then it ask me to sign in via steam or a link Il2 account. I've tried both options and I get kicked back to my steam home page. I think it's an issue with the login via steam. I have a partial solution ;

 

• locate your il2 sturmovik file . steamlibrary / steamapps / common / Il2 sturmovik battle of stalingrad / bin / game / il2.exe
• use il2.exe to launch the game and not via the steam home page. it should run

Well my game did run but all the content are locked.

After reinstalling (my version is STEAM) I had the same problem reported, but if you start the game through the executable in the game folder it works. The problem is with STEAM.

Same problem in Sweden! It seems to be the steam-version since I can run it through the .exe file, but my additional purcheses don't work!
Seems to be a general problem since more guys than me have the same problem starting today.

I've had the same issue, tried launching the IL-2 exe which worked fine but only allowed me access to the stuff I purchased on the website, I then tried to start IL-2 via Steam again and got past the loading screen to a login page telling me that I have an IL-2 and a Steam account and I should link them.
Upon pressing "Steam Login Only", my game instantly crashed as before.

If you log out (unlink the accounts) and launch through Steam it loads until the link account page comes up. As soon as you login again it kicks you out. The same happens if you only login as Steam (2nd option, in grey).

il-2.exe is working but like others have posted, you only get what you bought through the site.

 

Steam is the problem, definetly. After repairing the files it showed 25 corrupted files and after repariring it still shows 1 file corrupted that it can't fix.

Would be nice to have it sorted out... been so the whole day already. Can't even play offline.

Same problem here. It is aweful because I have half of my content from steam or their website. But why should steam cause the game to terminate after loading. The game starts after all.

Don't try, it appears verifing or reinstall doesn't help at all.

I think Steam isn‘t recognizing the content bought through it and just kicks you out. As if you didn‘t own the game.

I do not get a login screen. For me after loading screen game terminates with no returns.

What I did was run the il2.exe directly from the bin\game folder in Steamapps etc.. It bypasses Steam but asks you to login with your Il-2 account. Once I did that, it worked (for the modules bought here).

And now when I open the game through Steam it asks me to login again / link accounts (like the first time you run the game). After that it kicks me out.
