Voidhunger Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 After all those years there is still no save option for the skins for you or the AI, I usually stick with the default ones. Its so frustrating - I gave up

Dutch2 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 (edited) Step1: Make a selection of the skins you really need for your own plane, or skins that are being needed in campaign mode or for PWCG. Why using all the 4k Russian plane skins if you never fly at the Eastern front. BTW, the skins I use for flying in VR are always 4k never 2k. While the 2k are excellent for filling your squadron in PWCG as a sample. But not needed then deleted them. Step2: To avoid random downloading skins, I do, if seeing the same skins, is to compare, because you have the well talent skinners and the lesser talent guys. So by making this selection I know on beforehand what skins are interesting for downloading and which are not. Extra: Another method, if despite being selective, still have to much skins, could be to install the skins on another disk. Read this: Edited September 13, 2020 by Dutch2 1 1
56RAF_Roblex Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 My squad has 8-10 flying members and I have made each pilot a personal skin for the aircraft they regularly fly. The result is that the ZIP file I use to distribute them is over 1Gb ? It is not an issue unless you have space issues on your PC and they only have to download the big file once then when I do skins for a new aircraft I just post that new directory. Even the 1Gb file is not really an issue as most of us can download 1Gb fairly quickly.
