Love the camos. I know it is not essy. Would be appreciated.

T-34: The Red Army's Legendary Medium Tank- from the book

Generally, T-34s were finished in factory dark green, subsequently adorned by the crews with unit markings and propaganda slogans. As the war on the Eastern Front progressed during the summer months a few attempts were made to camouflage the T-34s with three-tone or two-tone schemes. These comprised dark green, brown and sand or just dark green and sand.

Hi - I just wanted to check what you had in mind. It took 5 hours to get this far just to give a rough idea where I am heading. I tried doing clean but got bored real quick. There is a lot needs doing to get the pattern and then line it up so if you wanted the book version then I might not be the right person. My game is so screwed I have to take a 3D screenshot and then convert it to 2d else I get a black screen just for having a 3D driver on my system. This is why I stopped doing skins.

Glad you're on-board as now that I've started I would like to carry on and make a decent job of it. The fun for me is watching it evolve as I'm never sure what will come out of it which keeps things interesting.?

It looks very nice but it also looks like it would had been sitting somewhere abandoned under elements. Does not look like combat prepped.

I'm just really glad you like it. ?

Unfortunately the template file got corrupted so I had to cut things short or else retrace my steps quite a way. I will bear in mind your initial request though next time I do the T34 and bring it more inline.

Just to be clear, the two above are skins I downloaded and then ran through my template so not entirely my work. Saying that virtually everybody uses the game supplied templates and then slides their own stuff in and over so not really a big deal but I won't submit them all the same. I find that I do this to almost all the skins that I use that I haven't made from the template up. Everybody likes different stuff - clean, dirty, shiny, matt etc. My favourite is dirty with metal shining through wear in matt paint. Wet surfaces are tricky as they really need the bump map to be modified to look right. Doing this is so much easier than building plastic models with the wife constantly moaning about tidying up and cleaning up the mess. :joy: ?:nea:

@SR603-Flowbee

I did not want to clogg the skins for game thread but bloody hell old chap 123 in the camos is good (both). More positive waves coming your way. You do do clean(ER) and VERY well!  (Although it is against your basic instinct/MO as a modeler using trademark quality weathering.)?

Undoubtedly the Tigers and Panthers rule in the dressing up dept.

Thanks for the encouragement. :good:

I normally do stuff for my enjoyment so I spend lots of time just getting some tiny unnoticeable (without 3Dvision) detail to look just right. In this case I figured everything was under some kind of deadline so hence the cleaner look and a lot of recycling if you know what I mean. Hopefully get something new done soon as I still haven't managed to do what I actually want which is that weathered model look. It is really hard trying to do a solid 3D object like mud on a (very flat) 2D surface without making use of the bump map. I think Tomi did a great job by using embossing (without a bump map) but it is a very light direction fixed kind of thing. It might be the way forward though as I did try it on the HJ Panther with some success a while ago. I guess doing an Elephant would be a good place to start. The developers are now including a colour overlay to help find bits which is incredibly helpful.

BTW what's the weather like in SA? Let me guess - blue skies and sunshine! :bye:
