AI Bombers manoeuvring like fighters

Playing more of the Rats campaigns and doing intercepts on JU88s and Ju87s. When intercepted the bombers all start doing barrel rolls whilst returning very accurate fire from gunners. I remember this was a problem a few years ago in Blitz but was ironed out. It seems to be back. It kind of ruins the immersion despite it being a very good defensive move. So just now i had a formation of 9 JU88s all Barrel rolling and corkscrewing around each other until inevitably two collided.  Plus the gunners don't seem to be impacted by the violent manoeuvring. Is this a previously squashed bug with the AI that has returned in the last two patches?

Having said that it doesn'tnt seem to occur in all missions - I am guessing it may be linked to Waypoint actions in the mission.  Not sure. I notice it seems to be on homeward bound leg of bombers route - usually where there is an a reduction in altitude between waypoints - otherwise they are using a normalfly action.. Possibly the AI is trying to maintain a set speed while diving and being under attack?

Yes, if the Mission builder has set waypoints to include too much altitude loss/gain, the aircraft can start behaving erratically.

Throw in an attack and they really get mixed up.

So are these campaigns going to be updated for the rest of the player base, or is it expected that everyone who paid $80 for this product bugfix the campaigns on their own?  Just wondering, as I do not intend to learn anything related to the FMB.  Every campaign I've tried has odd issues that need some type of edit or tweak.

Haven't played much of CloD, but i begin to like it since the latest updates. I noticed that bombers were indeed quite quick in getting out of the way as if they all were ace level.

But spits were even better at it. Indeed skill seems to be only waypoint setting related, a lot of work.

Isn't there some basic skill level for the game  to be set some where in the general settings interface, or in a *.ini file?.

In the *.mis file opened with notepad there are some skill entries:

==================

In the confs.ini file uder [BOB] there is a difficulty setting, in my setup difficulty=8058095. The rest has to do with sound, so maybe not this)

Also found it harder to fine tune the joystick x-y axis' sensitivity and find a sweet spot.

Anyone has an example of their settings?

@Buzzsaw or any other Moderators / CLoD staff able to comment?  I'm still patiently waiting to play the single player aspect without all the ridiculousness it entails, AI wise.

To do this properly you need a external tool like Joystick Curves (an the dreaded vJoy), that allow tune axis  like in DCS controls.

CloD GUI just allow set the "S" curve (like in Il-2:GB) , or adjust middle course response, ends is always the same.

Move that slider for right reduce axis response in middle of course, but since near end is always the same are a rapid increase in response in extreme joystick movement.

Please guys, know that there are two sections on the bug tracker, one section is for reporting bugs and the second section is for expressing requests. If there's something I learned on TFS' team of developers is that they stick to what's planned on the bug tracker. Bug reports and requests are tracked and numbered. Then the develorpers assign a hierarchy of priorities to sich items and, step by step, they follow a very mechanical process in their everyday work time. Out of the requests I made, at least one is already out with the last patch (5.010) and, normally, now the dashpics do not only work on the BLITZ planes, they work too on all Tobruk's aircraft. Out of the bugs I reported, at least one will be out with the next patch (5.011) and a few others are noted "In progress".

I can't understand how the TFS management team permanently informs of the bug tracker procedure while here, on the forums, we still find all of the above gossip. Please go to the bug tracker ( https://www.tfbt.nuvturais.de/ ), create a user account as I did, and apply the procedure. Many thanks.
