School for new players (and not)

Hi guys,

Short introduction:

I landed on this sim just one year ago with absolutely no experience about airplane, flight, Sims and the first thing that I noticed was the lack of any kind of tutorial/guide into the game.

At the same time I discovered one of the best community I ever met: people spend their free time to help each other, edit maps, create new mods.

I especially want to thanks ITAF guys that took me in their team and taught me A LOT!

Now, I think it's time to give something back to this community:

 

I want to directly help:

• new players that just bought the game
• experienced SP players that are curious to try multiplayer (I guess you will not come back ?)
• experienced players that want to try a new role ( for example -> fighter to bomber, ecc..)

 

How? 

Send me a private message or join the school Discord ( https://discord.gg/ZbF43TY ) picking up some of the point below (see: School) and with which airplane, we will agree on day and time to fly together 1 or 2 hours, until you have learned what it's necessary.

 

It's a shame that some player give up just because he cannot understand some setting, or cause he get shot down a lot just because he has no experience in MP.

 

As I said before, I'm not a real pilot or something like that, but I'm a teacher/sport coach so I love to teach what I learned from better players than me.

And I'm also sure that in this way I will have the possibility to learn still more.

 

NOTE: My English is pretty basic, so don't worry if your is not perfect too... Worry more about my "beautiful" Italian accent ?.

Yesterday I did the first lesson with @Jorntmeister and @mortenluca. I had a lot of fun, hope was the same for them.
Soon the video will be ready, more than two hours of training condensed into 6 minutes.

Realize this is yeara old and people may have moved on but I'm resurrecting this thread from the deceased.

 

I'm a new IL2 player and been only focused on learning how to fly amd at least can get thr bucket of bolts both to and from the ground in one piece.

 

Is this flying school by chance still around?

 

I'm kind of flying blind for where to go next keep learning more then ran across this thread.

Thanks Stevie.  I joined up and hope to get some flying time with the group soon. 

 

Been flying online for years but general aviation. I never gave combat sims much thought until recently and, I hindsight, wish I had.  I've enjoyed the hell of of these planes but can't shoot anything down with a damn.
