I pre-ordered the day it came out. I would have paid that money for the Wellington alone.

TF have really been a big part of my simming life. So fantastic what they have done with CoD and now Tobruk. Will buy this after I return home from the summer holidays.

This damn thing has driven me nuts! ?

Placed my order. I'm hoping they've improved the UI - the menu system made CloD almost unusable. Can't wait to get my hands on a Wellington!

Know how you feel.  Took a bit but finally installed and took the Kittyhawk up for quick flight this is going to be fun.

It would be interesting if anyone else is now flying "Wings of Victory" and would like to share the experience !

Bought the key here, applied on steam and it installed seamlessly. Looking forward to the Afrika map :)

I wonder how much longer before we see a carrier to slip under that beautiful little Grumman Wildcat!

Looks really nice, anyway would love to see north Africa in BoX (or Team Fusion working on BoX with 1CGS).

Probably but I'm not a fan of playing similar games from different series (don't really understand why there are 'competitive' products under one producer), hence will probably never try CoD but one can dream ;)

Because Cliffs of Dover was produced years before this version of the IL2 series... this version is not Oleg Maddox led.

I am aware of that, but sometimes teams unite under common banner to achieve more than could individually. I am also aware that it would require abandoning one product, which is not that easy. Anyway this is bit offtopic, was just thinking out loud ;)

I am totally in when they provide VR support.  But I've given away my TrackIR camera and lukeclip.   It'd be nice to know they updated the controller configuration system to behave like IL-2's does, as well as found a way to fix the bugs with FFB, if possible.   While I appreciate what they've done with CLoD,  after flying with VR as long as I have been I just can't go back to the pancake.

Are there update concerning a possibile VR support for CloD and Tobruk?

I am sure there are technical challenges that makes it difficult (hopefully not impossible), but it would certainly attract many players, including myself

That’s good to know. Insta buy when VR is added. Hell, I buy it twice if the Cliffs of Dover are also updated to VR. I also appreciate why it’s on the back burner when you work with a small team. You can only do one thing at a time.

Well done Jason, this was originally the 'lost IL2 sim (perhaps forever)' and now it is back on the map again (rescued), better than ever, and being made better all the time thanks to the 'Team Fusion' team. I recommend all our "Great Battles" simmers to purchase "Cliffs of Dover" and I am sure they will be very surprised on how good it is!

I am currently working on updating my 'Battle of France' campaign and everything is looking good. With a bit of help from 'Team Fusion' I hope to have this campaign released shortly. (see pics) DFLion

Already have it (and the original) however I don't fly it since my gaming rig is VR.

When VR is introduced I'll be on the bandwagono again ?

Is it really that simple, buy the key and apply on STEAM? I've read other posts that suggest I need to sync with STEAM to get it to work. Thanks.

You get the code here. Apply that to your steam account / library. COD will then appear and you can install as per usual via normal Steam process. I don't have my account here linked with steam, prefer cutting out the middleman for the IL2 GB Series :)

The fact that I haven't picked up tobruk and probably missed out on the more full servers is a real bummer. I planned on getting it as soon as it released and then a bunch of stuff happened between then and now and I just started getting back into flying. Need to pick this up for sure. Really want to fly the martlet.

I said the hell with it it's half off on steam right now, definitely worth the 25 bucks. Thanks team fusion!

You can buy it from the 1C Store - https://il2sturmovik.com/store/desert-wings-tobruk/ but it's a Steam release so Steam is required..

"Desert Wings requires Steam and Cliffs of Dover base game to run. After purchase, you will receive a key to activate the game on Steam."

We are in VR Beta testing.

We have not been accepting any more people into the Beta recently as there are no new developments to test.

Send me a message and when we add new additions to the Beta I will be happy to bring you in.

I would buy it (Both CLoD & Tobruk) now just to get used to the UI and Controllers setup, then enjoy the 2D while you wait!
