J99_Sizzlorr Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 (edited) I noticed that if you work on a mission and change something in the mission description only the localisation file which you set your language to gets updated. All the other localisation files stay the way they were. This is a real bummer, because everytime I make changes to the mission description, I have to manually put the changes in the other localisation files with the notepad editor so they get updated as well. But when I do that I have to resave the mission with another name to make it work properly again. When working on 3 missions simultaniously this means I have to update 3x4 mission descriptions through the notepad editor and the save the missions again. I also noted that in Flying Circus entente pilots are only rewarded 10 points for downing a two seater plane, whilst the central pilots are rewarded 15 points for a two seater plane. Gambit21 Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Just type your mission descriptions at the end. I build lots of missions and I’m not constantly editing the description.
Leon_Portier Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 When I'm done with a mission, I usually delete all language files except the english one. Then save in the mission editor again, so the other languages get generated again with the latest text. 2
=GEIER=SnoopyBlack Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 @Kokosnuss I will continue to write Coconut here because I can insert pictures. My problem is that the mission editor does not see the file! so that I can change something there. (sorry for my bad english, I have to use the google translator)
coconut Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 @GEIER_SnoopyBlack This is not the proper topic for your question, I think. Better to make a new topic. Anyway, you can load the msnbin file even if it's not visible in the file chooser. Just start typing the name in the input field, and auto-completion should show you a file ending in .msnbin. Choose that one, press the "accept" button (or whatever it's called, I forgot), and the mission should load. It's not mean to be edited by hand though, so there's a risk it will look rather confusing. 1
