Robert_Molders Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 When you are in the driver position and the HUD is activated there are 2 icons that seems some kind of fire extinguishers...How can I use them? What keys I need to set up to operate it/them? Thanks in advance!
[KG]Destaex Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 When testing a mission of mine. My tank got hit and caught fire. I was the driver at the time and looked around the inside of the tank at the fire. Then I saw ehat appeared to be white smoke and heard extinguisher noises, the crew put the fire out. I did not think to look at the extinguisher hud. 1
[KG]Destaex Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) The fire ... can only upload 5mb at a time. The smoke\extinguisher gas resulting and shortly there after I was notified the fire was out. I have also just noticed the second shot does not show any damage or extinguisher information. Maybe it is because I am no longer in the drivers position? I wish I had known at the time that the enter key shows the damage readout to your tank. The damage readout from a shot I took just now. Just press enter for this info: For some reason my tank blew up. I guess because I sat idle too long in game while doing this for you Notice the extinguisher icons turned up! The one with A on it seems to have one charge this time. I am guessing that is the "automatic" one. So maybe the 2 charge one above it is manual. Edited July 21, 2020 by [KG]Destaex 1
Goosevich Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 It's an automatic extiguisher, it works with a little delay and if it does not i usually turn off the engine (i figured that's how manual extinguishers are activated as well). Also @[KG]Destaex you were probably sniped in the ammo rack by something. I noticed that after such heavy hits the crew experiences troubles with hearing or something? or those are my speakers giving up ? 2
[KG]Destaex Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) Goose, How do you turn the manual ones on? Are you saying all you have to do for the manual ones is turn off the engine? See this is why I like clickable cockpits. Cuts out the middle man while making things a bit more realistic as you have to reach for things in cockpit rather than simply tapping a key. Goosevich Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) Yeah pretty much. That was my first reaction when i got hit and set on fire in a hairy situation while playing PvP multiplayer and i'm sure i was out of automatic extinguishers very often. However, keep in mind that i might be wrong it just happend to work every time for me. Edited July 21, 2020 by Goosevich
