Premium edition available for $20 right now.  $2 per plane.  Why buy just one plane when you can get 10 of them and the map :)

Thanks, also to LuseKofte. Actually i bought IL2 because of this plane, not that i do not like the others... my father first got his first apprenticeship at Junkers in Dessau, and later worked for them. Yes i guess i'm getting old lol.

There are not much books about the JU 88, i read "Feinde in der Nacht" by Spoden, "Er flog an meiner Seite" by Mortzfeld (more a novel but the author obviously knew a bit) and "Kampfflieger zwischen Eismeer und Sahara: In meinem Fall Ju 88" by Stahl. There are also Len Deighton's "Bomber" and "Fighter" books describing tactics and defense, all worth a read.

Thanks and greetings,
Catfish

The JU 88 is a handful in ground handling at first.  Check up youtube tutorialS on take off before you try it. It get frustrating if you do not know basics on it

Toe brakes are your friend.

The Ju88 is a good plane to have as a favorite.  It flew beginning to end so there is a lot you can do with it.

 And them from Stalingrad at least are quite good. I only flown JU 88 there and think I will start one in Moscow just to see how long I can fly. Will I make it to the end of franchise

Good luck, the soviet air defenses in the Moscow career are spirited: I am running a He-111 career with KG 4 and there isn't a mission in which the MiGs break forcefully into our formations attacking left and right. I already have several emergency landing at forward airstrips or dead stick ditch landing on the frontline under my belt :lol:

Those  Migs are deadly. I found Stalingrad quite survivable but difficult. Only flown 11 missions but no really impossible missions. One should think it would be the other way around.

I had a 44-mission career in the Ju 88 end on the Stalingrad map, because I stayed too long in a burning plane. That was really stupid, because I could have bailed out and would have been able to progress to the next mission, since I was over friendly territory at the time. ?

Ok

I believe you reccomended me Stalingrad career on JU 88.
I think it is the most fun career I flown so far, thanks. Had less time and Ice ring campsign came along. I think I stay at Stalingrad and see how far I get

@LukeFF let me guess: KG 51? ?

Yep, I./KG 51. I have a new career going with the same unit, so maybe I will have better luck this time.

Maybe one day we will make it alive to fly a Me-262 in Bodenplatte :salute:
