jollyjack Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 (edited) As i bought and collected a few campaigns it's kind of annoying that the displayed thumbnails are so large on a 1980 monitor. Is there a way to reduce their size, so that you can have 20 instead of 6 at once? Reduce a png or jpg file maybe? Edited July 10, 2020 by jollyjack 1
Jaegermeister Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 No, it depends on screen resolution. The campaign images are all the same 450x450 pixel size. It's hard coded into the GUI.
TAIPAN_ Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 For user made (downloaded) campaigns you can change the order of them though, and the name of the campaigns by editing the text files that come with the campaign. I've ordered mine by date/map and put the aircraft in the title. I don't know how to modify purchased campaigns though as they are probably hidden in compressed files.

Bad form (especially if you then distribute) but yes. 4 hours ago, Dan_Taipan said: I don't know how to modify purchased campaigns though as they are probably hidden in compressed files. You cannot modify official campaigns in any way.

Never ever seen anyone try to distribute someone else's campaign. Not sure how you got the idea and it would be pretty damn obvious if someone tried to sell something like that. This is just about putting some metadata in the listing since there's no sort or filter. Done in the privacy of our own home for to make up for a shortcoming in the interface, I don't feel bad at all. Edited July 15, 2020 by Dan_Taipan

jollyjack Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Some SP campaigns i converted to missions just to change things like chosen plane and loadout. Built in media files are also nice but a waste of time once seen, and they sometimes hinder time scale ...

I have had multiple people ask me if they can change content in a campaign I have written and redistribute it, if they can use the missions as a template and put them up on servers, and even if they can have the mission files from the official GB campaign so they don’t have to learn how to use the ME. It’s not that they want to sell them, they just want to take a shortcut and use other people’s work for their own purposes. It’s also very subtle and would require some digging to even notice if someone basically copied your mission file and altered the activity to hide it. I would know right away if I looked in the ME at a mission and it had my logic in it. It’s a compliment and an insult at the same time... 1

Good point, and thinking back it has happened to me before actually (I used to make missions for ROF and found new servers running modified versions of them). Complement and insult yes.. I remember feeling flattered but also a little pissed they didn't ask first. My reply was a bit too swift and off the cuff, sorry @Gambit21 I shouldn't post before having my morning coffee while I'm still grumpy ?
