Are there any Australian squadrons flying online? I am looking to join.

I did fly online using European Air War some years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Squadron then changed to Il-2 Sturmovik which I hated. This was the reason I stopped flying. The original Il-2 had many faults and several patches were introduced to rectify the problems. No so bad. But I found that the game was acutely biased towards the Me 109 and was a disappointment to me.

So how is the Il-2 game nowadays?

Any response will be helpful.

Thanks.

Good morning / afternoon,

In my point of view Il-2 Sturmovik BoX is currently the most accurate and enjoyable sim for WWII air war. If you find something actually better than it, please let me know ahaha

But more seriously the game has improved a lot since they lunch the first episode Battle of Stalingrad in 2014.

Regarding the squadrons I don't know about Australian ones, for my part I'm living in Europe, but I'm pretty sure they are some ! See @Requiem, it's one of your Aussie mates, maybe he will help you to find one ;)

Cheers

Hi Mmaxy,

Checkout thread

I have not flown any multiplayer missions on the site so cannot comment on the level of activity.

With my current level of flying skills I would be more of a danger to my team mates than I would be to the enemy, but one day!

Regards,

Steve

I'm an Aussie but I live in Texas and didn't get involved in online flight simming until I moved to the US, so I don't really fly with any Aussie squadrons due to the timezone shift.

Hello @Requiem

Thank you for your help anyway.

Before you do something else I must said that I’m sincerely a huge fan of your work on YouTube. I didn’t through ones you could respond to my message but here you are :)

Before I knew your achievements, I couldn’t take off a single P-40, know it’s easy peasy piece of cake ahaha

Big hug from France mate and thank your content on the community of il-2 ;)
