After Update The Problem with Widescreen 5760x1080, Antialising on = BLACK Screen in game and without Antialising the view is not in center, is the same!

Your Team have a bigger Problem with this or the game not support Widescreen in the future ??

Yes, I'm afraid I have the same problem too. AA on = black. AA off = moderately warped view in triple screen and center of view offset to the left. Also, my controls are acting very weird. The throttle response and roll response cut out and then respond again. I tried flying ROF afterwards and it's responding OK in all respects.

I'm suffering acute BoS withdrawl symptoms and looking for my first La-5 fix.

I have a few minor Issues:

the rounds on EU Expert Server are much too short (end after 15 minutes).

The hitflashes on planes are visible but i think they need to be cranked up a bit since they are barely visible and do no good job of indiccating bulletimpacts. They should be either bigger or more of them?

The stats are shown but kills dont count anymore. Only deaths are shown.

Thanks for the update!

Thanks Black Six, Zak, (and team).

The animations on the La-5 exterior look great. Its good news about the damage model on vehicles and nearby objects has been extended, (also other mentioned polish, Zak).

As always, imo, the whole team is doing a fantastic job.

A big welcome to all of the new community members.

To alleviate my mega-resolution withdrawal symptoms, I switched to one 27" monitor. It's a step down, but still wonderful :) Flying through the clouds in expert multiplayer -- graphics so realistic! This is gonna be great, man :)

- Stats in MP., first implementation. Nations score and round rotation do not work. Personal stats are calculated properly however suggestions and particularly bug reports are appreciated

It's been quite a long time since I tried flying online. I looked at the available servers and saw pings from 73 for the U.S. servers to 135 for the ones in Europe. What is an acceptable number for ping? From memory 73 seems awfully high.

S!

Not related to BoS, but I played MechWarrior online and my ping to their servers was 150-180ms being fully playable. Ping less than 100ms is a bliss to me :)

Totally agree,heavenly bliss for sure

Hey Rjel, Not sure where your from (US?) or what your net setup is,but  if yor getting a ping of 73 thats okay for online game play. Wish we where getting that.

Here in AU it's much higher playing on US and Europe severs. The lowest ive ever seen here (on AU servers) rangers between 40-60 with other titles.

U.S. based for sure. My forum avatar should give that away. :) Thanks for the answer. Just have to screw up the desire to fly online again.

I fly on the Euro servers with a regular ping of 175. I live in the western US and only have had micro stutters/micro warps on only one occasion over several months. My ping for the US servers is in the low double digits. Unfortunately, the US servers are woefully unpopulated most of the time.

Do some of you have problems with the La-5 rudder control on the ground?

I mean when taking of the plane (La-5) does go left and any amount of right correction is of no use!

The same once landed if I try to steer the La-5 to the parking place it is very difficult to steer right.

I try to correct this by fiddling with the settings in the controls panel to no avail?

Am I the only one with this problem?

YOu added brake to the rudder input, does wonders for taxiing the Pe2?

I can land the La-5 ok now - like all the planes it requires total concentration - but as soon as I touch the brakes I end up in a ground loop!

Yes, the La-5 has cannons and only the cannon fire button works for them. That's understandable, but it's surprising that the Pe-2 cannon and machinegun both get operated by the same machinegun button.

Luckily, i'm using different profiles for some planes via the Thrustmaster Target software, but i think it would make sense, if the La-5s cannons would get fired by either clicking the machinegun or cannon button.

The La-5 is not easy to land, but after a good bit of practicing that, i'm doing alright. Just try to slow down a good bit before using the brakes.

The flat screen causes a little bit more drag, overall top speed difference is about 3 km/h though. I still prefer the rounded screen myself, due to less struts and better visibility.

What supposedly is the advantage the flat screen supposed to give?

Armoured windscreen and, in real life, better optimal performance than rounded perspex, (I suppose).

In real life, the rounded glass could cause distortions, i guess that was the main reason for the flat screen. I don't think the current flat windscreen is armored, that came with later variants.

So overall, since distortions are not modelled in BoS (not sure if that's gonna happen in the future), the flat wind screens only advantage i can see, is better view up (it doesn't have a center strut) at the cost of two additional struts to each side (which for me, are more obstrusive that that center strut of the rounded windscreen).

When the planes hit the ground and the parts fly off and skim across the snow, man that looks cool! :good:

Ok thanks for the info, I have a better understanding now.

Is not both MG's?

2 × 7.62 mm (0.3 in) fixed ShKAS machine guns in the nose, one replaced by a 12.7 mm (0.5 in) Berezin UB on later versions.

Yes you're right. I was thinking for a moment that the Pe-2 has a ShVAK instead of the UBS.

I asked in the closed testing forums if the flat windscreen is armored, and the answer is that it's not.

just stay under 1 minute. I use 1.42 only as a last resort when it gets really close.

Apologies if this has been asked before, can anyone tell me if were getting a stand alone or lan option with the release?

Presume it will be like ROF where you find the Dservers back on a single page in MP option.

Eventual Mods-on has to be selected in the game setup before activating.

Dserver functions through a separate Dserver.exe furnished with the game from where you may open one of your configured sessions.

Or you may activate a session on the fly through the in game MP option, create a Dserver.

Configuring a session will also give you the choice to run it on your intranet/lan or through the Rof masterserver.

Sorry for slip but mods-on has to be configured in the mission set-up page :(
Also does the Dserver need a log-on/account, which inhibits its use for running the game.
In Rof with the demo mode there is now no prob to set up a 2nd account, before one could obtain a serial just for activating the Dserver from the devs - Han in that time.
Also seem to remember that activating the game on the rig where the Dserver was running would not allow one access to one's server, even when using 2nd instance (ram involved I assume) - one had to use an other rig on the home intranet.
For server set-up on the fly within an activated game one does not need for that extra account but is projected within ones own server while exiting the server, deactivates it.
