dburne Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 no its a radial engine, air cooled. lalt-+- opens and closes the cowling. Aha, got it thanks. I already had shutters assigned to an axis on my CH Quadrant, checked it out in external view, I see them working... Thanks,
kendo Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I had the same problem, that inverting doesn't work. Just change the deadzone abit and back and invert is possible again. Many thanks for this. That fixed it for me too.
ST_ami7b5 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I had the same problem, that inverting doesn't work. Just change the deadzone abit and back and invert is possible again. You're a genius! Works, thanks!
I./JG68_Sperber Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 My Controls are ok but MY VIEW is not in center ???? is all shifted to the left... With one Monitor it thinks i have 2, with 3 Monitors it thinks i have 4... helpppppp ;(
Senilix Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Update is soooo slow, 491 kb/s - Is it any known issues when downloading and updating?
bigd0311 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 CEM and trim for the 109, woohoo! I can't wait to get home and download. Thanks devs.
vampire09 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 antialiasing issue....AA is not active only 2560x1600 resolution..other res no problem(AA is active). msi 7970/ 14.4 driver.... pls help
startrekmike Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Wait, I can now manually set the RPM's/prop pitch for the 109's? what controls do I need to enable to do this?
Nage Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 It seams La5 isnt flyable even in this beta stage, for silver founders....ehhh
DD_Arthur Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Wait, I can now manually set the RPM's/prop pitch for the 109's? what controls do I need to enable to do this? Look in the engine controls section Mike. There is an option to assign a key to manual/auto prop pitch.
Sandhill Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 This is like the greatest thing ever, so far!!! Congratulations to the developers, and thanks to them and the testers!!! Even the "glass 10% empty" folks don't seem to have much to complain about today. Happy holidays!!! I once was loster but now I'm founder
KpgQuop Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I doubt I'll ever get to fly this masterpiece because of reasons, but I've followed its development through updates, screenshots and sensational videos posted here and elsewhere. Congratulations to all concerned. You're brewing up something very special here. I love it!
Shakey60 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Great update. Quick flight in La5. Nice straight line takeoff. Practiced stalls and spins, quick and easy recovery. Nice 3 point landing ending in a ground loop while taxiing, DOH! Tks. devs. Loving this.
Feathered_IV Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Looking forward to trying the La after work tonight. Commiserations to the silver bar holders! 1
KodiakJac Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 "Secondly, as a sign of gratitude for your trust and great support we decided to give the Founders tag to everyone who bought the game from November 2013 till May 2014. Because that way you can be recognized as someone who made the rebirth of your favorite gaming genre possible!" Thank you for this 1C
IbisWTE_Ibis Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Thanks for the LA, it looks great but not as good as the 190 will look. Can't wait, cheers.
TheBlackPenguin Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Really nice to fly, spent too much time fixing up my non-TrackIR, seems OK now. Anyway, took it high, stalled, went straight towards the ground and loved it even when I skimmed too close to a tree and broke it. Just enough glide to nose-plant onto a runway...Fun .
Charlo-VRde Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Any word on when we can use SweetFX when in-game AA is also enabled? It's such a beautiful game with SweetFX, but since in-game AA still disables SweetFX, the noticeable jaggies are a bit disappointing. Not to sound ungrateful for all the wonderfulness we are enjoying, I'd just like to know when we might expect to see this SweetFX vs. in-game AA issue fixed, or if we shouldn't expect any change to it for a few months. I haven't seen it mentioned in awhile. Charlo
III/JG11_Tiger Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) Well done all you people working so hard on this truly brilliant flight-sim, as said in another thread I am 50 years old on the 24th of September so it will be a great birthday present, I hope that one day in the future all you clever guys and girls will bring out yet another fantastic combat flight-sim and whatever it is i'll be there.Congratulations. 51 on the 27th September so I was thinking the same, but then realised Ive already paid for this so the wife and Kids can buy me another present, maybe it will be time for a new graphics card Well done on reaching Beta, I hope this sells well and like ROF keeps on developing until your next release(Med anyone?) Edited May 9, 2014 by III/JG11_Tiger
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) While the next edition is debatable, I think you are gonna have to wait at least one more release before the Med. We are staying east (my pure guess is Kuban) for the next AO. Edited May 9, 2014 by A1FltTrn=HerrMurf
Lusekofte Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I like the game physics and the feel russian planes give me. But the change to one way buttons on trim is not good news. Doing trim like the flaps make a gamer more depended to the use of keyboard. I would very much like to have a editor and make my own missions, and possibility to make a MP that suit bombers better
StarLightSong Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Wow, great news. Lag is a nimble, powerful beast, very nice. Wish I had more cannon ammo - brighter tracers or better aim : ) Mostly better aim. Great work, this really feels like a benchmark sim and very accessible for those of us that have limited time, jumped in and had 3 quick missions on normal while waiting for a call and the game was very smooth, very smooth - and she's just in AlPha!!! Steam is very exciting too.
1CGS LukeFF Posted May 9, 2014 1CGS Posted May 9, 2014 CEM and trim for the 109, woohoo! I can't wait to get home and download. Thanks devs. The 109 has always had trim.
Skoshi_Tiger Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Great news about the trim, though I'd like to be able to control it with an axis (I normaly run my trim through a 10 turn pot on my homebrew controller).Pictures of the LA-5 look VERY nice.Hopefully I'll get a chance to download and play with the beast over the weekend!
FlyingNutcase Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Exciting stuff. Congrats on the development so far; this is already a great product. Having it on Steam is gold.
Talisman Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Random throttle invert with me too. Manage to correct it by moving dead zones, but then it inverted again and I had to change the dead zones back again to get it working. I hope it settles down now. Enjoying the La-5.
Reflected Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Maybe I'm missing something, but I still cannot use manual prop pitch and manual radiators in the 109 (shift+P and shift +R?)
Matt Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 The prop pitch commands for the 109 are not the same as for the other planes. They are called propeller pitch increase/decrease iirc. Manual radiators doesn't work yet.
ram0506 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Maybe I'm missing something, but I still cannot use manual prop pitch and manual radiators in the 109 (shift+P and shift +R?) You first have to press button for "switch propellers pitch control mode: manual/auto" to enable manual prop pitch.
CSW_Hot_Dog Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Hi Guys. Is crossfire working in this release? I can not check "Multi GPU support WIP" box. I've bought game today, so i don't know, how it was working in previeus version, when crossfire was implemented. Thanks.
Panzerlang Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Crossfire is working, to some degree, Sli is in process with devs at NVidia.
Gort Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Check it in the launcher menu on the right side of the window before starting the sim, not in settings options after the game is running.
