RESADE ...ON / OFF

Recommended Posts

Hello
Seeing that there are people who do not have much idea of what the Resade is, I made this little video, trying to give a little light.

I don't understand how they can say that using it is cheating or playing with advantage.

Feel free to make your comments with sanity and respect.
Regards .

Hi Ala13, the way that cheaters abuse in Reshade was touching some shaders or filters , for example ( cartoon ) , and they bind to a key the activation of that shader.. ( Cartoon filter expand in a exagerate way the borders of the objects in the screen ) , so they on and off while fliying in order to catch something.

Saludos!

I think no-one is saying that since you use ReShade you therefore must be cheating. The problem is that it *can* be used to cheat. On *your* PC the effects might be subtle, but that's no guarantee it's equally subtle with other settings for other people.

Since ReShade basically injects a custom post-processing shader, there's no way for the developers or community to control what exactly is visible and to what extent. Heck, anyone with even basic knowledge of shader programming could write a shader that, for instance, displays faraway aircraft as a bright red dot (easy: check the depth buffer if that pixel is much closer than the surrounding pixels -> it's a faraway (1px) aircraft -> make red).

The only way to be sure that everyone plays fair is by only allowing those graphics options that are in the game. Sure, there too you might "cheat" a bit by increasing your gamma a lot, but it has been determined by convention that that is permissible. Injecting custom shaders isn't because there's no way to control the result.

How to enable and disable the reshade for servers that are not allowing it without unistalling?

Thanks for your answers, I understand perfectly.

It is a pity that there are people who use the resade to cheat, it is a great tool to improve colors and contrasts. Especially on winter maps, which is where I use it the most.

Geramos, I have 2 facilities, one with the resade and one without it.

Do you mean to game copies? Each one takes about 50gb

As long as we have terible visability in game there will be people adjusting stuff to be able to see things. Now there is option to not alow it on servers if people think it can be abused, people will decide if they mined it or dont mined it by playing on servers that have it on or off. Making this optional for servers was good adon.

The Games Depth buffer or normal's  are not accessible in this game through "stock" Reshade.

This is a security in Reshade

I would just like a link to Reshade, a simple tutorial (with very concise instructions of exactly where it needs to go, install paths, etc, etc), a how to activate and alter options and that would be great.

I have tried Reshade on Clod with little success as it didn't work with various versions and became a frustrating exercise.

Personally I would like to use Reshade to change the colour cast of BoX to remove the (what I feel is) too blue bias to a more warmer bias.

Appreciate any input, cheers, MP

BUMP!

I found this: https://reshade.me/forum/general-discussion/4398-howto-uninstall-reshade

This solution is for people who have installed ReShade

using the installer from this site. If you have downloaded a mod somewhere, seek help from its creator - this is not their support forum. If that's not possible, see solution 1.

1) The "Do it for me / I don't wanna read" solution:
a) Delete the entire game folder and re-download the game. No, just uninstalling the game will not work.

2) The "But I don't wanna re-download my game and still don't wanna read" solution:
a) Go to the game's executable folder and delete any of the following files you see:

D3D8.DLL
D3D9.DLL
D3D10.DLL
D3D11.DLL
OPENGL.DLL
DXGI.DLL

3) The "Okay, fine, I'll read" solution:
Follow the solution to question 2, then delete any of these additional files:

D3D9.INI
D3D10.INI
D3D11.INI
OPENGL.INI
DXGI.INI

Along with the following folder:

reshade-shaders
