Why not making a plane version of 'a ship in a bottle'?

A good excuse to consume the Nikka whisky until the very last drop. Otherwise the mini planes are just collecting dust on a shelf.

I must admit I did think about that.  The bottle is only 500ml, so the neck is very small.  I was thinking a furball of 1/350 Hellcats and A6Ms would look rather good.

I know a lot of guys that are like "Yeah, can't go below 1/72 with models, and even that are too small"; @Feathered_IV is the exact opposite I guess :P

Very original kit!

Starting the year with a Zero (from Hasegawa). quite a lot of debate online on what the color is supposed to be, this is what I went with:

???. Why mix when The colour is allready available....?....Unless its your thing I guess.

I suppose there is also The interior wheel well colour debate.Laquour blue or interior green both also available by Tamiya.

As I understood it was The difference between Mitsubishi and Nakajima built Zero,s.

Still looks cool any ways , great work so far.

Has anyone here experience in replicating plastic parts in metal, like aluminum?

While I am on and off working on my Tamiya 1/48 Storch (that leaves me a bit baffled, the instructions are such that you put in the metal prop axle pin such that it can fall inside the engine and attach the propeller last), some other Tamiya stuff had to be done, not just for good parenting. Still feels the same opening those big beautiful boxes with that box art and all those shiny parts in the blisters... But if some drivers happen to crash a lot, some plastic parts break quickly. Would be nice to have stronger replacements when metal hop up parts are not available. The problem is that these parts had to be machined very precise and I have no idea if commonly available tooling can do it exact enough.

Hello fellow Hobbyists, Modeling Artists.
Today I am here to present you a project that is close to completion,

but it is one of the most important steps to bring to life an aircraft in

combat conditions.
In this step by step, you will see some techniques that I use to achieve

certain effects. Currently it is more advanced than what you see in the

images, but it is to have a small advantage, I assume that in 3 days I

will finish it and move on to another WWII Aviation project.

My collection of Models is Very Large, I don't know if I'm currently

hovering around, the 500 and Some 1/48 Planes and about 70 or 80

1/35 Battle Tanks, if I count the 1/144 Models and the 1 /72 I go

much further.

All my models are from WWI and WWII.

So, I hope you enjoy my current job.

Without further ado, I present to you:
Manufacturer: Edward
Scale: 1/48
Plane: BF109G-6 R/6 of the Factory MTT Regensburg
Collection: Own/Not a job

here the photos Step by step of the painting process.

As I said, I wish you enjoy, and very soon it will be finished.
