Preacherman Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 (edited) Hi tank commanders, when I set my Driver on Autopilot I can give the order "Movement - … Movement to Mission (or sth like that). Then there is a small text saying "Return to Mission waypoint" (or sth like that) Does anyone know how I can set such a Mission waypoint in the Mission Editor? I want my autopiloted Driver to go to preset waypoints. Edited May 26, 2020 by Preacherman 1
Preacherman Posted May 26, 2020 Author Posted May 26, 2020 Hi again… since I got no Response...is it you guys don´t understand what I´m getting at or is it you don´t know the answer? All I want to know is how to assign a "Mission Objective" or WAYPOINT (alternatively) for my OWN tank, so the Driver, when set to Autopilot, follows that route. Any ideas? Please help, thx!
JimTM Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 See "Make a Vehicle Follow a Route" on pg. 67 of the editor manual.
Preacherman Posted May 26, 2020 Author Posted May 26, 2020 Well, thank you, but this only tells me how to add waypoints to non-Player vehicles, Right? I want MY Vehicle to move according to preset waypoints (Driver on Autopilot)...
JimTM Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) You can add waypoints to a player vehicle too. You can drive the route yourself and when you enable "AI autopilot" the AI takes over and drives the route. Edited May 26, 2020 by JimTM 1

Simply setting waypoints for my own Vehicle didn´t do anything.
No_85_Gramps Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Did you activate the waypoints and link them back to your vehicle?

No_85_Gramps Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 I only had time to make a quick test and was unsuccessful. Will be back to see what JimTM comes up with.
Preacherman Posted May 27, 2020 Author Posted May 27, 2020 Okay, the waypoints DO work - in a dodgy way. What I found is: - hitting Autopilot makes your tank move into waypoint direction. (YEEEEESSSSS!) - interrupting and then switching on Autopilot (or giving Move command) again makes tank stutter and shiver its way like it is totally lost (or drunk) (NOOOOOO!) - the tank IGNORES the road although I have an "on road" Formation Command enabled (NOOOOOOO!) In conclusion: **** 1
inexus Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Welcome to TC I hope that one day they would consider the ability to give commands to individual tanks and your platoon like it works in Steel Beasts. It is quite intuitive and great for good gameplay. 1
Voidhunger Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 Another thing I dont like is that when you move to commander position your previous setting in the gunner gunsight is reseted.
