Lusekofte Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 I tried to research this radio. A mate found it when cleaning his oarents house. It is in working order and is from the war. It is German and that iswhat he knows. In my research I only got offers to sell it but it was mentioned this radio was used in BF 109. Since this have earphones My guess is either from a bomber or from headquarter based in Narvik until a bunker was buildt they used Hitlers yachts for this. or it was picked from the countless planes left behind. Anyone knows what it is and what it might be worth. I can get it but I want to pay a fair price. He do not care much, but he is a friend and I want to give what it might be wirth 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted May 22, 2020 1CGS Posted May 22, 2020 (edited) It's an EZ6 Direction Finder Receiver: http://pa0pzd.com/airforce/ez6/ Quote This is a receiver, part of the Geman “PEIL G 6″ aircraft installation called “Peil Gerat 6″. It was used for navigation/direction finding purposes in large aircrafts like the Heinkel HE 111, Junker 88 and so on. It was common for EZ6, to be combined with the Fug 10, where it would have been placed instead of the E10L receiver. This was called the Fug10P (Peil). Edited May 22, 2020 by LukeFF 1 2 1

Otherwise you risk damaging the receiver.
Lusekofte Posted May 26, 2020 Author Posted May 26, 2020 I am in contact with a restoration team on a JU 88 They seem to need one. So this looks like a donation 1
Chief_Mouser Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Nice find Luse! And if you can donate it to the restoration team, even better. Cheers.

It is a friend of mine who has it. I spent a while trying to figure out if he could make money selling it. And if so I would buy it just for my general aviation interest, of witch he has none. But I know North Norway flight museum have a JU 88 that is going to be pristine once finnished. And have contacted them. If they need it. I will make my friend donate it. And maybe get a cockpit tour as a payment

He is in charge of restoration of a JU 88 and they lack this directio finder reciever. I have now put my mate in touch with him and the receiver has found a home. I feel very good about this, but I had to admit to myself that I really did not do anything else than getting info from this wonderful community and very often from you @LukeFF I wrote this to this Major , and he told me to thank you.
