Yak-9 First Impressions?

in the current state any HE rounds (12.7/13/20/30mm) are preferable to the their AP pendant,

since the damage model is very arcade like (no internal systems, damage to fuel/Coolant/oil is very simple designed and does not lead perfomance loss in a short time and feels much closer to the old Il-2 series than what we get in CloD (fantastic DM in comparison) for example)

so damage to the aerodynamic perfomance of a plane via HE is much more preferable.

of the Yak9 indeed does have HE/AP vs HE/AP/AP belting of the Yak1...its the Yak9 any time/day of the week for me.

Welcome. I didn't know at first either and would fly it just so I had "underdog". I don't mind a challenge but that constantly got me in trouble. 

 

Having a 109 leaking just about everything still keep up with you is definitely upsetting.

 

 

If you're trying to squeeze some extra speed you can roll RPM back to 86%, close your rads below 50% and send it. Not the preferred way to escape a fight but it'll sometimes be the difference.

Why should anyone care about 3 HE hits catching you on fire? Do you know if one went directly into your engine, or not?

Nothing I said there was wrong. 

 

You inferred AP was a requirement for fires and pilot kills. I showed you otherwise. If a player only had the money to purchase one plane, I'd suggest the Yak 9 series 1 over the Yak 1b based purely on the ammo it shot. 

 

My laughing at the screenshots and videos isn't "bullying", nor is it hostile. I didn't go out of my way to address you in any shape or form.

Well I unfortunately cant read it. If, historically, the Yak 9 was not used much in Kuban, then I'm perfectly ok with the dynamic career being this way. 

 

I guess that Black cross red star vol. 5 would also clarify the situation about the Yak 9's usage in Kuban. I need to buy and read it.

You didn't show anything. Without hit locations, the numbers of hits taken means absolutely nothing.

 

Why do the devs always ask for tracks/recordings to use as evidence? Because that means something.

 

You showed nothing, other than that you took 3x20mm HE hits and 1 AP hit before catching on fire. You showed a flak kill again without showing hit locations. Were you hit in the belly? A direct hit to the cockpit?
