Please add the technochat option back to basic options

Just did the update and noticed the change so you have to go into the realism settings to check/uncheck info feed/handling tips to hide technochat or use "H" to hide it which hides everything. 

 

So now if I have my realism setup this way I can not turn technochat on/off via basic options while in game as needed. 

 

I don't fly with technochat on, however if I want to Repair Refuel Rearm, I really need the technochat so I can see when the rearm is completed, how much fuel, etc. There are no consistent audible sounds that can be heard as an indicator of fueling rearming, etc.

 

Typically in game if I get into a situation where I need to RRR, I land, hit ESC, Basic settings, switch to technochat, RRR, hit ESC, Basic settings, then turn off technochat. 

 

Now I also use the compass in the lower left corner without technochat, so if I hit "H" to hide technochat it hides everything........ arrrrg. 

 

It would be nice if you still had the basic options show up if you enable info feed/handling tip in Realism: Custom settings. Then you still have the ability to hide it / turn it on/off via basic options as needed in game.

I can't even find the realism settings. Where is that located?

mine is still downloading (1hour in)  so cannot check, but pretty sure its in the QMB setup (do not ask me the logic)

Its split between two options, riiight there!

Techchat is Info feed, handling tips are the chat tipps!

Well the squad flew tonight, had both on, then had to turn the tips off, no one could turn that off at a user level. I had to hit "H" to hide the technochat so I had no compass if I want it, didn't matter what my personal realism settings were set too. 

 

So I'm all for having the option in the SDS; but without having some user level options to turn tips on/off or technochat on/off in basic setting for any servers allowing technochat is disappointing. Hopefully Devs might consider adding the drop down menu back to the basic options which had off/technochat/technotchat and tips, all at the user level for on the fly changes while in multiplayer. 

 

For now, I just hit "H" to hide it since the squad is not going to fly without technochat, but that also means now I don't get important subtitle messages without being forced to look at technochat as well, so it's all or none. bummer... I'm forced to change how I use IL2... 

 

But the update is looking fantastic... really a great job done, please consider adding the user level options back.

Also when its turned on it still dont show all info messages on the right side.

 

"In realism settings when i turn on only Info feed ( Enables important information feed on the right ), all important feed (tech chat messages) on the right dont show up. But it does turn off all important feed messages if i turn only that option off.
If i turn Info feed and Instrument panel on, only then all important feed on right show up. But problem then is that they show up together with instrument panel digital info and minimap that i dont need when i only need all info feed messages that Info feed option is suposed to be controling. It seams that option is only controling turning off all important information feed messages, but it dosent turn on all of them like logicly it should.
You see if i turn off Info feed, and turn on Instrument panel, i can see digital info and minimap that is controled by this setting but i dont see messages that are also turned on only by this option. So how is that ok if this option is suposed to control digital info+ minimap + thouse few missing info feed messages, but only messages in this case dont show up. So its clear that thouse messages are being turned off by Info feed in this case, so @Sneaksie why are they not turned on by it also ?"

 

I dont know why when they decided to add this as option they didnt do it right from first try, this is not something difficult as FM/DM or what not... its simple messages.

 

Turn it ON in realisam settings for server = show ALL messages on right side, and old in game player option if player playing on that server can decide to just turn that off, just that if he wonts, not all on his hud he wont to see.

Turn it OFF in realisam settings for server =  NO messages on right side, and with old in game player option player cant turn it on.

 

Its not rocket sience ffs, do they even player test thouse things. As expected they didnt think this one trought.

 

Now if i wont to play with ALL messages showing up i still have to have server or SP with turned ON Info feed and Instrument panel (that i dont wont to have turned on it sould have nothing to do with information messages on right side of screan), where is logic in that , 2 realisam settings control ALL info messages to be ON, but only one turn all OFF.
