thanasisk Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Hi all, I have a logitech x56 Pro stick + throttle. So far, I have been only using the real basic functionality. Anybody has a profile that they can share? Any additional software that I need? If that helps, I am also using TrackIR5 and I think my PC is quite beefy (Radeon XT 5700, Ryzen 3900 12-core, 64 GB RAM). Any tips welcome
ZachariasX Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 The game sees the switches and buttons and you can map them without any difficulty. I do suggest that you are mapping the controls yourself. Start with just basic functions, then one by one add one where it feels handy to you. This way you will also memorize controls better. 1

Exactly, the problem with profiles created by other pilots is, their logic does not necessary match yours. Of course, it is a good start, but your are very likely to change/modify the profile to your taste. It is definitely better to start from scratch and to decide yourself what function you want to attribute to a certain button etc. Some people map keys on their HOTAS that someone else can't see the sense of it. Why waste a button for a key you barely use during flight? Just use your HOTAS compo without any other profile software and assign all your functions to buttons, levers and axis directly in the game. As @ZachariasX already said, this way it is much easier to memorize your setup. Cheerio

I also recommend a visual guide you make and update yourself in excel or some paint program. I learn visually and it helps me to imagine where the controls will be to have a visual guide to return to.
