Dear friends!

We would like to congratulate you on the very important holiday - 75th Anniversary of the Victory in Europe! On this day 75 years ago the hard and long road to peace, that cost millions of lives, has finally come to its end at the European theater of the world war. The people of all nations got a second chance to live. Let's remember the heroic deeds of our ancestors and be thankful to them - even though that today's crisis and problems are significant, they can't be compared to the gravity of the situation and the hardships of those years of war.

VD_en.thumb.jpg.5f123f85d28d268fe11df6756a3a13ab.jpg

The life that was given to us by the heroic deed of our ancestors continues. Coincidentally, this is a small anniversary for our project, which is entirely dedicated to the World War II events, as well - you're reading its 250th Developers Blog. Our work on the sim also continues - in 2 or 3 weeks we plan to release the next update 4.006.

Fritz the pilot reminds me of Jason Isaacs, somewhat.

I've had the 9T pre-ordered since it went up for sale and you have no idea how excited I am to finally get my hands on one

I wonder if the render changes will have any noticeable effects on the clarity & SDE in various VR setups like Pimax?

Personally, my number one dream plane for the Soviets is the Tu-2 (preferably S, but I will take any!)

I'm kindof hoping that they hold off with the La-7 and Yak-3 so that they can give us a Tu-2 or Il-4 with it (and Fw-190A9, Bf-109G10, He-162)... in a '44-'45 East scenario...

In a testament to how valuable these DDs are, I have now pre-ordered the Yak 9T. 😜

Please don't tell my wife.......

Keep up the fantastic work guys!

I would love it too. Normandy and Bodenplatte timeframe from the east side would be pretty awesome. It would make for a very satisfying career as well going through the big battles from Moscow to Poland and Germany.

Buy the Yak.  If you play career I have PWCG going to the end of the war now on the eastern front, so you will have a place to use it offline.  If you play more MP then buy it because it's at least a little more competitive with the later war German types.

Quick note: PWCG currently covers 1944 and 1945 in the east.  Use the Stalingrad and Bodenplatte maps so not ideal, but it's there.

Not quite yet, but the next generation of gaming will put some digital print artist out of business when you can just frame a screenshot of the game you are playing.

Il2 is pumping out some amazing eye-candy.

Undecided on the Yak-9, might buy it just to show support. Can't see buying both models unless the plane is next-level gorgeous.

So do a lot of modern celebrities.  We know we'll get a lot more entertainment value for our money here though.  :)

Great movie. Best part about that role: apparently they had to dial down the number of medals they put on his uniform, because the real number looked too over the top.

Also, IRL was a penpal with Eisenhower. The world is a strange place.

It looks superb,  new shading! Is it possible to see some more screenshots, maybe from testers?
