SCG_Darbzy Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Hi all, I can't remember where I saw it now, but someone had a template for the big smoke coming out of Stalingrad. Anyone know where it is? Cheers, D
inexus Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Is it this one you are thinking of? There is also a mod for generate random smoke effects in quick missions (which I think might include the above to make them appear when they are further away) 1

Nolly Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 there is, its in the effects tab on the RHS. I cant remember which one (maybe "city smoke") and i think it needs an effect sustainer to keep it running. (as per jims manual). The example groups that come with jims manual may have a premade one with this. they tend to render in an out with distance tho, which can be pretty ugly. I ended up removing them when i tried to use them. 1

super-truite Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 (edited) To get a permanent effect, you need to import the group "EffectSustainer" from @JimTM (download the Sample Missions From the Manual): (as you will see when importing the group, the effects in the tab in the RHS need to be set in a rather complex loop in order to be permanent). To damage buildings, you can use this: Edited May 7, 2020 by super-truite 1
