Hello together,

i have (again) a problem with the payment via xsolla. One year ago i wanted to buy FC, didn't work via Xsolla, i didn't bother posting about it.

Now seeing that FC will get continued, i really wanted to buy the FC products, but it's still not possible. I tried both credit card and Amazon payment, both times it says "payment not possible" in a red box, without giving any further information.

I am sure i am not the only one encountering this problem and i am shocked that this xsolla is still the only way to buy things from 1C/777. Surely a bit of income is lost this way. Well, i want to spend money on new flight sim content, but if it's not possible to pay, then it shall not be.

Going to the epic store now and buying Star Wars Squadrons.

Hello, it finally worked. I sent money from my bank account to my paypal account and then paid with the paypal deposit.

Any way to pay with my credit card (direct or indirect via paypal or amazon pay) didn't work, it's not the problem of the card, since i purchased something with the card in the epic store afterwards.

I hope you can get this sorted for the future, since it's definitely putting of potential buyers, who don't have the same patience.

Unfortunately, at the moment I have the same problem, I tried several times but it looks like I will not fly the Yak-9

In the end it worked, but I don't know what the problem was, so I won't be of help if necessary.

Same here. I could buy the Battles of Normandy Preoder via paypal but cannot use my paypal money for the Hurricane and the Yak9. It always tells me to add a bank account

Tip for paypal users, as in my case both buyer and seller protection did not protect me from paypal payments and their own scams.

DON'T add you bank account with Paypal, but use it only via VISA or Mastercard; you'll be far better protected.

VISA saved my ass with paypal disputes with claims against unjustly (one-sided-nu-further-dispute) possible closed claims with payment scams.

Today I was buying again and the same thing happened. I enter the card details and the error message appears, once again and Xsolla informs that he cannot make the transfer, so again and it's okay, but they want a password to the bank account, I try again for the fourth time and it worked. I don't know what it's all about, but try to make a normal purchase a few times before you start transferring from your account to your account or include PayPal in it.

I'm going to add to the list here. Despite buying BOS, BOM and BOK - and all the add on planes via Xsolla, I find myself trying to buy Flying Circus Part 1 this morning and getting rejected. When I try to pay by credit card, Xsolla then informs me it's made a small deduction from my account, can I confirm the amount ? No. I don't do online banking.

Message sent to Xsolla support, all in all, a very frustrating and unnecessary experience.

I had a similar problem with that Xsolla payment service, around a year ago. None of my payment methods were accepted. Never had any issue with any service or website before that. To get things 'solved' I had to disclose financial transfer information. Very fishy... they make it seem like you are the problem, but my guess it the exact opposite! I wished 1c would look into these matters because they are obviously losing money over this. What is this Xsolla? Why not use one of the more trusted similar services??? Since then I bought quite a bit thru them but still fear they can somehow refuse my payments again!?

I had a Xsolla payment service problem before, but it's seems easy to solve by reset your credit card information.

What do you mean by 'reset' ... not a single payment type worked for me at the time !?

But I will try with another credit card next time it happens.

Ok, thanks, but at the time I tries PayPal as wel, and as far as I remember tried 2 credit cards. I guess my email was blocked or so... dunno, but I needed to contact Xsolla to get me 'unblocked'.The only reason I can come up with is the fact that in a few days I bought several products and collector planes and maybe there is some kind of limit... Still don't know what caused the issue!?

Thanks and happy 2021!!!

Yep..tried to purchase Normandy and that garbage storefront they use won't let me.  Yo 1C you realize if guys can't buy your stuff there's no point in making anything.

A possibility is that whenever the Xsolla automated process does not get a swift response from our PayPal or credit card automated process it will block your email/login for manual review. That might explain why it seems to happen at random and to some people but not others!? Did 1C ever issue a statement that could explain why this happens at times???

Basically, if you try to pay by credit card, Xsolla remove an amount of "under $2" from your account. You then confirm how much has gone out of your account and that authorises the card.

Which is great.

If you do online banking.

I don't.

So, let's summarise. I'm still waiting for Xsolla to get their act together. I have raised two tickets with them. I've been trying to buy Flying Circus Part 1 and both Yak-9's for about five days now. I've already made 10 purchases without any problem but this one seems unresolvable.

Is something going to happen about this or should I spend the money on something else and not bother with Normandy, Tank Crew, the two Flak units and Flying Circus 2 in the future ?

"authorises the card...."

At the time I simply tried to pay thru PayPal, as I did many times before that day!

Same issue, trying directly with credit cards did not work either... Until using the what I would call... Manual certification method. Very strange!

About taking our business elsewhere... is not an option. .. There is neither an Xsolla alternative, nor anything as great as il-2 sturmovik GB!

Just got a reply from Xsolla -

"Hola Dave,
Pedimos disculpas por el retraso con nuestra respuesta. Estamos trabajando activamente en su solicitud y nos comunicaremos con Usted lo antes posible. Gracias por su paciencia."

Which is great ! Excuse me whilst I go off and learn Spanish in the interim.

Still no reply.
No response to live chat.
Three tickets raised.
No answer.

Just as a question to IC: from this thread alone, you have customers waiting to spend thousands with you and you have an inept financial vendor. They'll just stop buying things from you. Is this what you wanted ?

Same here I wanting to buy FC2, 1C what the hell is going on, 1C you are loosing costumers.

@Jason_Williams : please wakeup that Xsolla something is wrong on there site.

I'ḿ using laptop/Windows10/edge and desktop/Linux/Google Chrome. Mastercard, bank, everthing is valid and I can normally pay to other webstores.

edit: if Xsolla is based at Russian, Nigerian, Ukraine, India, Iran, Nord-Korea etc,  then this could also be a security problem, as these countries are being limited for safety reasons and/or economical restrictions . Ifso maybe wise to move to US or W-Europe based payment company.

Credit card: valid and can be used for payment on the internet. tested!

Computer: same problem using desktop Linux/G. Chrome,  laptop Win10/edge and on my business laptop.

Helpdesk Xsolla: no help, maybe restricted by country as an answer. But aslong Xsolla its not from Russia, Ukraine, Iran, N-Korea, Nigeria and Farawaystan, who are restricted economically and/or security reasons, it should never be any problem its working even on China’s Aliexpress.

Helpdesk 1C: made an claim, but no answer received.

Still I can not do any payment on that Xsolla site, with my credit card. I believe more buyers could have this problem and who knows 1c is now losing buyers.

just my 2cents on this.

Reset, how can a transaction being reset?

Posted

Dutch2, what happens here is that XSolla present the payment to the bank. In the case of some accounts, it's refused (as Xsolla take micropayments, which can make transactions look suspicious). The way I resolved this was to send XSolla support a picture of previous transactions (PayPal) from the account I used to make them.

XSolla then present the evidence to the bank who reset the status of the payment, marking it as "not suspicious".

Bit complex isn’t  ?  while my Platinum Master card is proven valid.

While for Steam credit card payments is business as usual, 1C seems to stuck with an payment company that can not handle this. ?

But thanks anyway, the extra FC2 sale is over and I’m not going to beg for “please let me buy  from the 1C store” or reactivating my old Paypal account. 1C is now in charge.

At the time Xsolla indeed demanded a picture of my PayPal account as well. This is simply unacceptable. I never had any similar issue until that day. It only proves to me that Xsolla itself is doing something that is not acceptable by financial services. They should prove they are legit... not us, the 1C loyal customers!?

Check my post above for the solution, gents.

@davesax1965 ... that is the exact same 'solution' that I had to give the my exact same problem.

However, I sure would not call this a real solution, because it seems to be Xsolla is the problem and not us !

They should produce evidence to the banks, paypal etc that what you call 'micropayments' is a legal/right way and for whatever

 reason they do this.

If I had any other option at the time I would surely have used it because this 'workflow' seems very fishy to me.

I know that e.g. paypal may block (regularly) some provisions on an account ... but never request something similar like this.

If we had to do this for any transaction we would better ... simply transfer the amounts immediately to bank account(s) and not use credit cards and/or paypal !

Xsolla isn't the problem. It's the bank identifying the transaction as potentially fraudulent.

Xsolla can't produce evidence of prior transactions due to consumer confidentiality. So we have to show a transaction linked to the account which made it. It's the only way of doing it which precludes fraud and retains confidentiality.

I knew and do understand this, but why does a bank do such a thing when ... it never happened in so many other transactions on the exact same account with the exact same means (credit card, paypal ...) ?

Anyway, each time I buy something thru Xsolla from that time on I am no longer sure I will be able to do so or have go through this procedure all over again.

BTW I will keep on buying from 1C/777 nevertheless though since this issue never happened again since that one time.

xsolla sucks...

This service makes it difficult to purchase 1C products, please get rid of it. I will have to use PayPal like always, the credit card purchase by xsolla is a mess, it was a disaster.

Posted

I had a similar problem with xsolla and when I tried to purchase a reverb G2 from Contact. It was the bank that was blocking the transaction with xsolle and my credit card company was blocking my purchase of the G2 from Contact. I called my bank and my credit card company and it was sorted out. I have not had a problem with purchases thru xsolle since then. I think since I had not tried to purchase anything thru those services until then, the bank and credit card company were being cautious.

Copy/paste from Jasons #278 Friday announcement diary, published here as it was being removed in his diary.

This adds overhead costs to our operation which we hope will pay for itself in time, but we ask that you continue your financial support of Sturmovik throughout this spring and summer and al of 2021 by purchasing new content and buying gifts for your friends, family and squadron-mates. And please remember, purchases made directly in the IL-2 Official Webstore benefit the team the most!

?

How mr Jason, if that Xsolla payment is not working because Xsolla has been related to an political/economical restricted, financial insecure country or maybe by criminal money laundry activities . I would suggest fix that first before posting this in you blog.

edit: credit card is working for Amazon.de and Aliexpress China, so get that damn Xsolla-crap fixed or better exchanged by a decent company.

I have the same frustration: I bought collector aircraft two weeks ago with a virtual card provided by my bank with no problem.

But today, I tried to buy Battle of Normandy and some more acft. I made two different attempts at different times using the same method (virtuel cards) and paypal as it wasn't working.

Neither Was it successful with paypal .

Had to request a refund due to a compatibility issue, and after weeks of silence from Xsolla it apparently ain't happenin'.

BE SURE what you're about to purchase is going to work on your machine, because you're not getting your money back.
